1. Looks good Mine will be without the scratchplate and with a P/J pickups! The idea with the white fretboard is pretty good as well
2. [shameless plug] All your worries sorted out here > http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=89602 [end of shameless plug]
3. As people mentioned before with amp sims you can always get a pod farm and use it to get your sound, it works really good if you spend some time tweaking it.
4.
I LOL'd a bit that Rob's favourite bass player was Jaco! Nothing wrong with that of course, but he doesn't appear to have been influenced particularly (on any level!)
You haven't listened to any of his stuff before Metallica then ?
5. In USA it's about $250 so it'll probably be around £250 here in the UK
6. Hello chaps, I have for sale Line 6 UX1 which is no longer needed. It's got the CD with POD Farm etc so you get everything as brand new, used maybe 5 times. The cheapest I can find them is £89 so I'd say £60 posted ? Line 6 is known to come out with very usefull stuff and this is no different, it includes POD farm which lets you simulate different amps, cabs, effects etc. It also has Abletone 7 for all your recording needs! A very good setup for very small price. More info here http://uk.line6.com/podstudioux1/ I'll upload the pics if neccesarry Cheers Jack
7. I would say Barefaced as well! With your budget you can maybe get a second hand Big Juan! But my Compact never had any problems with the low B, the cabs you mention are the ones I'm using at practice place so I feel your pain.
8. I'm buying a body, bridge and some tuners!
9. Hello chaps, I've finally ventured in to the dusty sub-forum I was thinking about buying an EUB because my missus would chop my balls off if I'd bought the real thing so I was hoping someone can point me in the right direction for a first EUB! My budget with a big stretch is about £300. Cheers Jack
10. Cheers Jack
11. I used to be a High Beam man but now I'm Lo Rider so can recommend any of those without hesitation. The high beams are much brighter and ''loose'' compared to Lo Riders.

13. the univibe has a input for a foot pedal so you can control the ratio of the effect and it's not stereo!
14. Yeah the Polish Beast. He seems to use a lot of power but he actually is playing very softly, I went to his masterclasses ages ago after he had his signature Ashdown amps developed and I've seen his playing up front and very close. His tone is really nice but remember that all his basses have graphite necks, it's a little known secret
15. Hi Chaps, I'm in need of advice again and this time it's on microphones. Bascially I've got the Boss BR900CD and today I've got a brand new SM58 in a trade. Will this be good for micing up guitar and bass cabs and quite possibly acoustic/classical guitars or would you recommend something else? Ideally I don't want to spend more than £50-70 second hand but I'm just wondering what is out there. The mic does not have to be high quality, just enough for home recording to see what's what! Any advice appreciated! Cheers Jack
16.
How did you link the BR to the KRKs as the phonos out didn't work? Did you get the KRK 6s from new?
Hi Graeme, The socket on the Boss had a loose solder joint so I've managed to fix it and it works well now. I've got the KRK's from GAK so they are brand spanking new Cheers Jack
17. Hi Chaps, I've built a fuzz face for my guitarist but he says that it's not ''beefy'' enough, I use schematic from here http://www.musikding.de/product_info.php/i...3cb450a8ffe5743 So my question is what should I change to make it more beefy sounding, I assume it will be the cap C1 which is 2.2uF, should I change it something bigger like 4.7uF ? Will this sort it out or would you say I should change some other parts as well ? Cheers Jack
18. Neal has bought my Barefaced Compact. He paid directly in to my bank account and I can say that he's a top bloke to deal with. Cheers Jack
19. what he said ^ and I think it can be beneficial to anyone at any stage of experience!
20. Final bump before it will travel for a part exchange!
21. I might be talkin bollocks here but I think you can't use 2 different cabs for this stuff!
