Didn't they have a PR guy - a friend of Mr. Nordschow - who stumbled into some sort of PR calamity on Talkbass a while ago? I can't quite remember the details, but it was a proper calamity.

I saw him in Newcastle on Monday. I was in the seats just up on the side of the stage. He took the roof off and sang like an angel. He's 67. Astonishing. Incidentally, my pal was down by the river Tyne on Sunday afternoon at about 5pm. A tramp walked towards them, and they didn't give him a second thought until his wife noticed he was carrying a designer water bottle. It was himself. Out for a walk, all on his own. They walked and talked a while. My pal's mind is still blown.

Playing money in the bank isn't as much fun as playing a bass.

They're about to start a tour, so I think he's OK now....

If it's something the OP does on autopilot, how is he going to know unless someone tells him?

I'm fairly sure the post DI on that head is pre-master, so you could have turned it up without affecting the feed to the desk. However, it might have started a volume war - a spiral where everyone turns up gradually. Your guitarist was better off asking for a bit in his monitor instead...

I used 'em for a rehearsal last night and they're lovely. Rounder lows than the HS210s, with a less pronounced mid. They suit me just fine... :-)
