1. Yip - here's the thread. It may or may not be the same problem.
2. If I didn't have kids, I'd like to think I'd be doing the bass thing full time.
3. 2x45's round these parts. Plus encores if you're feeling wanted / charitable.
4.
I'm pretty sure the Classic and the RH450 were released at the same time. The Classic being the "budget" RH which doesn't have saveable presets. Otherwise it's the same unit
^^^^ This.
5. The guitar has to be in tune, so learn in to fill the gaps. It's a band responsibility.
6. I would never have believed that my #1 would ever again be a Jazz... but there you have it. It is. I used it at the Summertyne festival in Gateshead over the weekend. The video is fuzzy, but here's a clip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FEnQALf0NQ
7.
Without wanting to come off uncool and thick, what is the TV logo?
Here y'are... designed to be more readable on the telly:
8. Lush, I still want one of these with a TV logo in maple. It'll happen sometime.
9. Did anyone else see this? If so, can you confirm that it was real, and that I didn't imagine it? Dreadful.
10. I know of people who do.
11.
And will they make you cover up the Fender logo?
I should hope so, to save the lives of kittens and that.
12.
Great, let us know when it's on! Are you going to be using the Limelight Jazz??
Well, the reason it caught my eye in the first place was because it looks like John Illsley's, so it would be rude not to. :-)
13.
Does this mean you're Mr Knopfler's go-to bassist? How cool is that?!!
If Glenn Worf ever throws the towel in, I imagine I'll be as high as 9357th in line to replace him. But, if it happens again for a third time I might get cocky. Ha ha.
14. *THE THREAD FROM THE DEAD* Happy days... I've just found out I'm playing with Mr. Knopfler again, at a gig to celebrate the millionth entrant into the Great North Run in September. This time it's going to be live on BBC2. Yay
15. Walkabout. The MPulse 600 is nice, but it doesn't contain the Walkabout's mystical mids of magic.
16. Harrods could probably source you one. haw haw.
17. https://www.youtube....h?v=jPKSnreU4WQ
18.
Regarding the BDDI having scooped mids, you can counter that by cutting Bass and Treble (and increasing Volume to compensate). That way you will 'boost' mids. That is by design and several other pedals and audio hardware use the same EQ system.
IME there's always a scoop present regardless of how you tweak the knobs. I just didn't get on with the SABDDI or the PARA DI... it made all my basses sound the same. If you like that sound, you're in luck.
19.
It's finished! Just waiting for delivery now :-)
Lush. I haven't chipped in to a Limelight thread for, oooh... a couple of weeks now, but I just have to say my J is still blowing me away whenever I play it. It's incredible.
20. To be fair, Rick Rosas is a bit of a legend too....
21. And yourself. I'd consider changing your thread title, 'cos it makes you look a bit silly.
22.
I think you are missing the point so I think as we are not going to agree we should draw a line under it and move on there is nothing more constructive to say
I don't think I am missing the point. I just think you're struggling for a come-back.
23.
I think the item is unfit for purpose even if had returned them to the retailer I could still of contacted Warwick to air my views
I think you're missing the point. Contacting them isn't the issue. Coming on here slagging them off instead of going through the proper channels is. It's just shabby, IMO.
24.
That is your view and you are entitled to it but if THEY wanted what they had to say said in public they would of posted in the main chat and not of sent me a private message
Maybe they're just classier than that. Let's not forget, they've done nowt wrong. Anything they do to help you is out of courtesy because you didn't do what you were supposed to do.
25. If you're going to tarnish a brand's reputation, it's only fair to back it up with facts, i.e. publish their exact reponse. It's nice that they're helping you now, but to be fair they shouldn't have to.
