1. 2126 - 4 ohm, 900W, 26 kg, 9200 SEK Yes. Please.
2. Always fancied one of these, or a Gibson EB-2. Lovely.
3. I would also be lying if I said I wasn't swayed from competition by the aesthetics. For a lot of gigs I play that is probably more important to the punter than my sound Anyway, I am subscribed. Hopefully get to hear one soon. If not, I think I can ocnfidently take the 'risk' going on the videos and specs.
4. These just look incredible. Likely be putting an order in around December at this rate though. Will see if I can price shipping from my end, on a high volume business account.
5. I am selling my HB. If there is any other way I could be of assistance ie. measuring something jus ask
6. I'll get some pics up this afternoon. It would be best for you to try this wee thing out yourself, but I will ship. Shouldn't be more than £20 to do that. The bright button can still be depressed, I should've noted. The cap/cover has just come off. Will detail as best I can in pics, as well as areas were the carpet covering is damaged. No damage to grill cover/speaker or actual amp. These are all good.
7. Hi folks, Reluctantly advertising this to gauge interest. My first ever forced sale owing to be properly skint. Really don't want to sell this. It is still such a great wee amp, even after it has been through the wars with me. Played over 100 gigs with it, electrically solid. No issues on that front. Aesthetically it is poorish condition, really just because there is wee bits of damage to the carpet covering. The bright button has fallen off in transport. From a home with cats. These sound awesome, they are lightweight and pack some punch. Would prefer a face to face deal. Based just outside Edinburgh, near Linlithgow. Selling to pay council tax. Yeah, seriously. Pics to follow.
8. That is brilliant. Might be able to get in cheaper if I can use a friend's UPS business account, though these prices look far from retail, so probably not much of a saving. I'll have a more thorough look at the spec of these. Ideally something that could handle the Mesa, for larger gigs, would be an advantage and ultimately mean I could have a rig that ticks all the boxes Cheers again.
9. These look like they could be a great shout for my next (and only) cab. '78 P-Bass with ancient, crusty flats... through one of these. Yes, please. Unfortunately my amp choice could be problematic. I can take the little Harley Benton BH500 (Promethean Clone) out of the combo. The Mesa 400+ would be dangerous I guess? Don't want to give folk the wrong idea, but I 'probably' would buy one just because they look THAT cool. Thanks to all of those involved in bringing these sounds to us. How much is shipping stinging us?
10. I would be looking at the strategy if my 400+ was ever 'not enough'. The fact that it is currently not working I suppose means another amp would be a good option. Don't think you'd regret the strategy, and certainly wouldn't regret an SVT-300 either
11. Wow, been ages since I've posted on here! What a way to get back into the fold, with a request for someone to give me some professional help to drag me out of stagnant mediocrity. This is my 13th year playing. Getting bored with the lack of progression in the last few years. If someone can recommend or offer their service that would be great. Cheers, Jamie
12. Been using my Harley Benton for ages now (can't remember exactly when I got it, roughly a year ago). Its played 100's of gigs, varying sizes and hasn't let me down once. I'm going to grab one of their cabs and sees what happens. Would be really interested if folks shared their EQ/knob-ey settings
13. I was thinking £350-£500. I just don't know where to find these people. Obviously it would have to be an as and when basis, as most people won't pay out the extra monies.
14. Hi folks, Not sure that i'd find many people on here, but maybe someone might know of some perhaps. I'm in a 5-piece Soul, Motown, R'n'B and Funk covers band. We're looking to add a horn section to our current line-up. At the moment we're trying to expand our repetoire, improve the authenticity of our sound and secure representation from a national agency - adding a horn section will allow us to do this! Between us we've played 1000's of gigs; in every corner of the UK. We've done the originals band thing and some of us had modest success. However, now we're looking to run a function band as a business. As such, a moderate level of commitment and availability is required. At the moment we are quite busy with weddings, birthdays and bookings in some reputable pubs. We're wanting to expand this and bring in higher quantity and quality gigs. Get in touch if you're a brass player and fancy making some good dough. There's the spiel. It seems quite tricky to get brass players though, or maybe I just ain't looking in the right places. Brasschat perhaps? Should note we're in West Lothian/Edinburgh.
15. I know Titus Pullo only as the character from Rome the HBO series. Anyway, i'll be hitting this one up tonight. If thats still the term the cool kids use?
16. How do I know its not the mid driver thats kappuuut!? Good offer though, would surely consider it Apologies everyone about not being on in a few days, i've had rather a lot going on, and for once just haven't had the time to get on here. I've got folks lining up round the block for this, which is weird considering I being totally transparent that it isn't working properly, and I don't know whats wrong with it, you guys get that yeh?
17. I've not tried to make it stop buzzing... I could try, but then it won't be for sale at £100, which is a bargain! Yep £100 with flightcase, pics are here: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/534/imag0347i.jpg/ USe previous and next to browse pics
18. Cannot fault Laimis. Great guy, had a really good chat with him about all things gear whilst we did a transaction. Promptly paid too. Don't be put off by the fact he is in Lithuania!
19. I need to get rid of this, owing to no space in the new house. There is a buzz from one of the speakers, not farty but buzzy. Not sure which, and don't have the skill to work it out. As such, I am selling in the packhorse flightcase for £100.
20. I bought an amp from them on Monday. Left a comment saying send by UPS standard. They phoned first thing in the morning, upgraded for no charge and I received the amp today. In the past when I have had trouble I just phoned them and it was sorted. I'd never rely on e-mails. With their shipping accounts they will not be able to offer free returns, as the couriers will charge them. The difference being the return on an account as large as theirs will be £2 or something.
21.
[sub]Thomastik Jazz flats - simply the best strings i have ever used[/sub]
For me, this Had them on my MIM Jazz that I just sold, very nice indeed.
22. All gone and sold now! Chap got a bargain, but glad its off to a good home
23.
Mark Bass Little Mark Tube 800 with Cab plus a 5 String Wood and Tronics Chronos Bass... thoughts? P.s I really like the sound and I know it's about preference. However, can anybody think of anything better? Or any potential issues with this solution?
Ain' nothing better than something that you like the sound of yourself. I'm still kinda searching, so don't take the fact that you really like the sound lightly.
24. I'm working on communicating via my Chinese/English friend as a translator. Waiting to hear back.
