1. It has slight sideways play due to the mighty mite not being the 2.5 inches advertised Not a lot but makes the neck really awkward to fit with it slopping about slightly.
2. Thanks chaps, pretty much as I thought except I'm on my own. No magic then
3. in place so it doesn't move while I mark where the holes go? I'm sure it's real easy but I can't see it without possible damage to the frets. Also what size is the pilot drill hole ? Thank you.
4. Had 3 pm's already.... Not got yours Muzz?
5. Do you have a price yet for the MIM P?
6. Rules state that you must put a price up. They were being sold new as low as £220 about a year ago then the price shot up suddenly. I know this because I bought one
7. Cheers Mac, I really enjoyed doing it too, just bought a mighty mite maple neck for it, (that one was borrowed from my MIM) so I'll do some pics of the finished object soon.
8. Could you put sold in the title please? That'll save us looking at something that's not there. cheers.
9. Mel that looks really good Some nice examples there.
10.
Looks nice Tom but it needs a black scratchplate
Only one I had that would fit Jezz
11. Thanks for the positive comments. It really is that simple. I can see a new craze starting on here
12. On top of the poly, absolutely no need to go to the wood, lot of hard work for nothing imo. The paint sticks very well.
13. Like McNach (in other words blatant copy) I've painted my sunburst Squier body in Capri Orange and this is the result: Basically flat down with some 150, then 400 then 800 (2 pieces of 400 rubbed together ) the about 6 coats of white primer and then a good flat off followed by 1x can of orange. This was painted in a cold garage and as a result there is some orange peel. I have flatted some of it out and it looks good to me.. The paint was £35 from the manchester guitar geezer but car aerosols are the same stuff and much cheaper. Now what can I paint next?
14. Pic? sorry don't know what it is but we have 3 iphones here......
15. Mel is da top laydee! bought some covers, arrived promptly. Great comms, great packaging, thanks Mel. Tom.
16. I've just had the pleasure of dealing with Lee who bought my Yamaha from me. Excellent communication with friendly emails, very prompt payment. This is the Basschat way, so trade with confidence. Lee is a top geezer. Thanks mate. Tom.
17. You know I thought there was someone on here, I'll check it out. cheers.
18. Hiya. I'm looking for some bass to amp cables that are quiet, I've never noticed how much buzzing I get from my Kurly Koils until recently when I found an old quality cable and tried it, totally silent! I only play Jazz & Precision basses so not the quietest things. So, any recommends? I'm retired on a basic pension so I can't afford expensive gold plated stuff Thanks for any help.
19. I bought this to play along with Christian stuff that I can only find on youtube: http://www.pitch-switch.com/ I can adjust the pitch in semitones to what we play the song in. Does tempo too. I'm a software numpty so I'm sure there's better and for nothing.
20. I bought a body from Anth, well preserved and looking very nice. I'm going to paint it and practice my skills to make it look good. Superb gent to deal with. Goes the extra mile to make sure you're happy with the deal, a basschat star! thanks mate.
21. Yup, and I've bought the ashtrays. roll up roll up!
22. Please put sold in the title so as we don't waste time reading about something that's gone!
