1. He stresses that it has the Chisonic pickups but the Skylines all do. He's just got a picture of the one with the horrible pickup covers, so couldn't be bothered to find the correct pic.
 2.
The fact that the evil newbies who join to sell are nothing if not beneficial to the forum is something that flies over many heads around these parts, I agree.
Well, it may or may not be beneficial to the forum depending on what's being sold, on whether it's appropriately described, and on whether it's appropriately priced ... and in so far as anyone benefits the seller benefits too from a free ad and possibly a sale with no required commission. Anyway, I don't think anyone called the newbies evil, just a hint that there might be an element of freeloading in some cases.
 3. 2x45mins is standard in my experience.
 4.
Pretty sure all guitarists are like this...
-1 Not in my experience. I've played with plenty of reliable and talented guitarists. Some of them even thought they couldn't play bass.
 5.
But thats the made in China one
I hate it when someone quotes me before I correct the grammatical error. Oh well. China you say? Really?
 6.
My boo boo can be available at the right price. How about a £5
You can get a new unused one for £3.99.
 7.
Do you know I nearly started believing some of what was being said here then I went to the "Funk and Groove" thread - seems like somebody needs to tell all of these guys to "KISS"... Marcus..Stanley..Victor..Les Claypool...Mick Karn..TK Stevens..are you listening?? KISS, in my mind, will lead to nothing but mediocrity and bass being nothing more than a backing instrument.. God bless those who break the rules!!!
All of them people I would never normally listen to. One of them I never heard of. I'm so glad that I'm mediocre.
 8. Barabajagal final mixes from Metway studio in Brighton. A Ray Charles standard: An old Gus Cannon song from the 1920s: An old Dylan song: Two of our own songs to finish. I was fairly happy with the overall outcome although I felt I might have played all the bass parts better if I'd actually been slightly warmed up. I only played for about 40 minutes spread over three days - usual story I guess. Bass is Fender AV62 Precision with La Bella flats through Phil Jones Bass Briefcase and mixed with DI. The final song is NS WAV 4 upright. Anyway, I'd highly recommend both Metway and our engineer Toby May.
 9.
Afro Cuban Grooves for bass and drums - funkifying the clave by Lincoln Goines - £12.50 posted. Rush - bass anthology - £10 posted. The best of Marcus Miller - £10 posted. All are 'as new'.
I'll take the Afro-cuban if it's still available. PM sent
 10. Very nice Rob, well done.

 13.
Priceless!!!
Thanks, but IIRC it was £1.99.
 14. I think maybe this one beats Sly for easiest bassline:
 15. I have two hard cases but they are in the loft. I have two ordinary gigbags and an NS Wav Eub gigbag in a cupboard. Basses go on a multi-stand when they are not at a rehearsal or a gig when they go in a gigbag.
 16. Very good and thank you. This is turning into a little collection.
 17. 'Keep it simple' or 'keep it complicated'. It's simple to decide which of these is most effective.
 18. It's up to you, but I wouldn't do it. NO.
 19.
I can play slap bass, but over the last couple of years I've toyed with double thumbing. I'd really like to learn it, but can't seem to stick to a lengthy practise regime. I just keep thinking: 'Is it really necessary?' Maybe I'm just a bit long in the tooth. Anyone else found this when attempting to master a new technique?
I'm still trying to master the old technique.
 20. The TI Jazz Rounds are 43/51/68/89.
