[/font][/size] [/quote] In recording studios in the USA in the 1950s and 1960s, even I think into the 1970s, it was common to refer to the 'electric bass' as the 'Fender bass'. It was even written that way sometimes on album covers, when musicians were credited.

[/quote] It is a lovely restoration and I don't doubt that tobacco or marijuana smoking or having an open fire can have serious (although perhaps not this serious) effects but the story didn't seem to make sense.

I'd say that if the bass is worth playing then it doesn't need a decal and if you want the decal then buy a Fender.

The guy in Velvet Revolver (who's name escapes me just at the moment) played one of these on a couple of songs when I took my son to see them about four years ago. I can't quite remember how it sounded.

Very nice, my first amp was a Treble 'n' Bass 50.
