I would walk well away from that. Too many queries for that price.

Many years ago I used to spend ages messing with EQ. Now I rarely bother and do my best to avoid EQ fiddling. Instead, play in a different manner, move my right hand, neckwards or bridgewards. Play more lightly and turn the volume up or play harder and turn the volume down.

Sponge from under pickups, screwed up tissues, bit of old cotton cloth or velvet, mouse mat - try different things til you get the sound you want.

Anyway, it's really quite rare to see something actually original as so-called original is commonly highly derivative and sometimes derivative in a rather dull manner.

[/quote] Tuning BEAD usually means less tension than EADG because a B string is commonly less tense than a G string.

What do you mean by 'heavy' strings? Do you mean high tension? What 'heavy' strings did the Rickenbacker and the MM not like? What do you mean by those basses not liking the 'heavy' strings? A Precision bass can cope with high tension strings but generally speaking so should any bass with a working truss rod.

And CityLink once put a 'you were not at home and we could not deliver' card through my letterbox while I was standing in my hall. By the time I had opened the door the guy was speeding off down the road.
