  1. I also have one, and I agree this is a good photo. Its really difficult to get it accurate! I'm possibly selling mine, but if I don't I'm definitely going for a black three-ply scratch plate like @Happypants. Looks amazing.
  2. Yes, still available! The thumbrest is in a slightly odd place but it doesn't get in the way. Cheers
  3. £270 to a basschatter, or trades as above - or for a Boss Gx-100
  4. I have a 60s Vintera P, but I'm wondering if I'd get on better with a slimmer neck, so thinking about putting a jazz neck on it. I'm having a hard time working out how easy this is to do. "ideally" I'd just get a Vintera Jazz neck with a maple fretboard and shove it on the P, but 1) that would cost £400 and 2) I don't know if it would fit. Do "all" Fender necks fit on "all" Fender bodies? Any other recommendations for a good quality J neck?
  5. Hi guys Picked this up recently to scratch an itch. Its a very cool pedal but not something I'll use enough to justify keeping. Boxed, in good condition. Some velcro on the bottom. £200 posted in the UK ***SOLD*** Complete picture gallery here: https://imgur.com/a/8aGV6nJ
  6. Having previously said no trades I do kind of fancy a Bass VI or a fretless (or maybe even an EUB)....

  8. That gold Sandberg (?) is *chef's kiss*
  9. You are Hugh Grant and I Claim My £5 🙂 Lovely bass.
  10. Bought a pedal from @rmcki Paid for it at 0830 on a Wednesday. Plugged it in to try it out at 1900 the next day. Can't get much better than that!
  11. I'm confused. What did you buy? The lekato? Any chance of a link?
  12. My TRB---which I sold and with hindsight should have hung onto---sounded absolutely tremendous stock. So put them in the other one, or neither.
  13. Completely agree. Back when I worked in acoustics "professionally" I met a professional trumpet maker who told me that he was obliged to offer instruments made of different metals because his clientele expected him to. They were convinced it made a difference to the sound - he was the opposite, but business is business. FWIW, brass players are similarly "convinced" that you can hear the difference in materials. The research the last time I looked (about fifteen years ago) was inconclusive. This suggests that if there is an effect, its likely way more subtle than people will tell you it is. This is where I stand on things like maple vs rosewood fretboards.

  15. I like the design of that a lot, but the guys are right about the photos.
  16. Forever Lost by Magic Numbers. Its just so much fun.
  17. I almost exclusively listen to digital these days. BUT - I am not a Spotify (or equivalent) user. I like to own my music - so I buy cds and rip them. Sometimes, I buy downloads directly from bands on bandcamp. For a select few artists, i will buy their vinyl (and probably the cd and/or download as well) because i am a collector and because i like to support them directly. But a sad amount of my vinyl never actually gets played.
  18. @alexpeabought a pedal from me. No hassles at all. Thanks
  19. @lancersold me a power supply, no hassles at all. Thanks
  20. @Steve Asold me a pedal Good comms, posted it when he said he would, well packed. Thanks!
  21. Back when i was playing in my originals band at some toilet circuit in Glasgow I snapped the E string on my bass on the first note of the first number (no, me neither - I've never snapped a string before or since). The song was a sub-three-minute punk rock effort. I spent most of it desperately trying to work out how to play the riff in a different position. As the song ended, and the rest of the band were looking at me going "what the flip happened there then?" some kind soul from one of the other bands appeared in front of the stage with his bass in hand and just handed it to me. Being a sensible person, I absolutely babied that man's instrument and remain eternally grateful to him cos he rescued the gig. Yeah, I could have had a spare - but in 25+ years of gigging on various instruments thats literally the only time I'd have needed to use it. If I was playing weddings or proper pro gigs, I'd carry one, but I'm not so I don't.
  22. Phil Jones Bighead HA-1 headphone amplifier. Boxed, in VGC and with accessories. Fantastic thing but I no longer need a portable headphone solution. £110 posted in the UK. ***sold*** You might need to give me a day or two to find a box to put it in! 😄
