  1. Im not a Fender fan, but that's the simple truth.
  2. Decided to go with it...damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!
  3. No, the Inca Silver Jazz is a 2015 Crafted In China Squier, only available for 4 or 5 years. One of the best Squiers ever made and I doubt they'll ever make another that good. There is one on Reverb right now for $425, fairly good price, but it's not as nice as mine, and there's a Lake Placid Blue one there for $799! Sure, it won't sell at that price but for $599 it definitely would.
  4. Seller wants $395...$55 shipping. He countered my offer at $375. I might try $345. With the shipping that will be $400 even. Can't really go higher. He has it listed as good condition, which can mean anything. Had he said excellent, I'd go for it. Just bought this a few months ago. Don't really need another Jazz bass, but that one is special.
  5. Squier Contemporary Active Jazz bass, Sweetwater exclusive, no longer being made. Matching headstock and roasted maple! Comes with a hardshell case, too. Not sure if the strings are flatwounds, but I'll probably be putting on a set of GHS black tapewounds.
  6. I have to believe they're truly limited edition basses. I don't even see them on Canadian sites.
  7. I really don't need another bass, but if I ever see this one for sale again, even for a few hundred more than the original price, I'll jump on it!
  8. You're welcome. Not my own idea but they stopped making these four or five years ago, so..
  9. As for neck dive, easily solved with some golfer's tape and a seat-belt pad.
  10. Sure, EB-0, EB-3...Gibsons, Epiphones too. Even this, which I once considered buying.
  11. Just what do you like about them?
  12. Yes, I never understood why sometimes certain bass makers neglect the top fret.
  13. I guess I'll just have to be content with these.
  14. Not exactly cheap, custom shop, but it's still listed on Reverb for $2,399...$400 price drop. With the problems I've heard people having ordering basses and being told they might have to wait until summer, I'm surprised this isn't gone. Good thing I still can't afford it, though.
  15. Of course. I'd just posted a pic of a very nice USA Kiloton in the "Single pickup passive non-Precision basses" thread and I must've been thinking of that. Old age strikes again!
  16. The one with piezo? Go for it!
  17. Only problem I have with mine is I find myself using it more and more each day, early in the morning and late at night. Very surprised with the rich tone and I've yet to play with the different amp models or effects, just playing along to whatever I have on my ipod, including my band's material, is worth every penny! (Especially since I went with play now, pay later.) Sounds good with my L2000s, my Reverend Thundergun, my Italia Imola, my CV Jazz, my Bacchus Woodline, and my Dean Exotica acoustic basses. What more can anyone ask for?
  18. Kiloton’s single MFD bucker fires without the aid of a preamp, while a 3-position series/split/parallel toggle harnesses the coils’ power. Simple volume and tone controls are devastatingly effective, revealing a wide range of textures Leo’s MFD bucker is famous for. What’s more, Kiloton is armed with a 6-bolt neck and Leo Fender-designed Saddle-Lock™ bridge to transfer all the energy right into the body end-grain for an incredibly resonant instrument.
  19. You won't find better than this. Passive but very potent. G&L is always the answer.
  20. 30...count 'em...30!
  21. Why ruin your bass, that looks ridiculous, when there are simple solutions? Golfer's tape and a seat-belt cushion.
  22. Thanks. Hard to pick a favorite.
  23. Well, if it plays and sounds as good as it looks, you've really got something!
