Thsat's a pre-amp to build your rig around, if it sounds as good as their anaolgue pedals it will be amazing. But......... I feel it's already out dated, a moddler pedal that has only 1 pre-amp? It's kinda like taking an HX stomp, stripping out all of the pre-amps, all of the amps, all of the cab sims, most of the effects, ALL of the guitar stuff, a whole bunch of functionality and not replacing it anything. I can see that they'll be some people who will like the format and love the Sansamp tone. A fully programable pre-amp is an excellent idea, depending on the price point it might be an excellent product, but feels like a backward step comparedf to what's out there. Respect to Sansamp for breaking their mould! I'll 100% try it hen it comes out though I cannot see a use for it myself. YMMV

And recieved a prize!

@paulmcnamara Did you take the plunge? I have 2 Lekato wireless systsma nd their IEM wireless and they're perfect. If I didn't already have an HX Stomp I'd 100% give this a go if I wanted a Multi FX unit

I have a Candian built Super PJ. It's fvcking phenominal! Plays like a dream, feels amazing and sounds brilliant. My only slight niggle with it is the P bass pick up is just a little too polite! But I do like dirty sounding P basses. I've thpught about selling it a few times as I don't play it as much as I used to, but everytime i pick it up i change my mind! This is my actual bass being reviewed, I've porbaly posted this on here before!

I like the fact they use whatsapp for comms these days, if i need anything that's not in stock, i can just say "Yo, when is X back in stock) and saves me having to fish around in emails (hateful things that they are)!

Just to add to this, I've used BD several times over the years, I've had nothing but great service! Always buy me strings through them, yeah I can save a couple of £ if i shop around but I don't feel comfortable buying from and online only retailer. With the demise of LGS especially in my neck of the woods, having a physical bass shop like BD is something we should protect.

That's a stunning looking bass! Make sure you post up when you get the new pick guard. I think combo will look awesome.

If i remember correclty Ernie has the copyright to the words "3 plus 1" but anybody can arrange the machine heads however they want on any bass (as long as the headstock shape isn't copy righted)

Wooden P bass covers!! I wonder if they are available seperately?

Changing/adjusting overly-bright LEDs in pedals?
GR7G5TER replied to AinsleyWalker's topic in Repairs and Technical
I used to have this pedal and that was my main gripe! Lsyers of electical tape worked very well and mean tno modifications needed. The Markbass compresore had the same (albiet a different colour) issue! Luckily you can but the tape to match the LED colours 🤭 -
Exploratory investigation of overuse symptoms in bassist player

Just completed, good luck with your studies bro -
I personly like a HPF at the very end of my chnage to get rid of all the sub freqs before they hit the power stage. But it is a personal thing, i know it's a boring answer but experiment with placement, first, last try it before and after various effects/drives if you have them.

Would I be in a band with them? I wouldn't piss on a "racist, homophobic, fascist etc...." if they were on fire. I used meet a group of acquaintances (scuba diving) for a curry once a month, it had the obligatory whatsapp group. A memebr, who up until this point hadn't attended or posted in the chat said something along the lines of "not a fan of p*ki food, can we go for a ch*nky instead". Mssaged the head of the group and said basically kick the guy immeadiayey or I walk (I was also a member of the club committee at the time), the response was he'd need to speak to group and see the best way forward. That was my last involvement, I walked straigt away. You are either an alley to monorities or you're someone I would never want to deal with. Simple

Congrats, beautiful basses. I have a custom shop Super PJ and it's a wonderful instrument.

To the Basschat massive I'm starting to plan out my next (2nd) bitsa build after my successful P bass build (I'll post it up when it's 100% finished) I'd like to put together a 51 p bass (never own or played one!) and most of the parts are not gonna cause me a problem. Haven't decided on which pick up but I'm sure there a million and one threads going down that rabbit hole on the hell hole of a bass site over the pond. I'll most likely be using a booboo guitars body again so the bridge route is out of my control and will be a thru body with 3 fixing screws What are my options here? I'm not a fan of the orginal bridge due to the lack of independant adjustment and the only other one i've come across is the Hiphot FM2 but I don't want to be chucking that kind of money on a bridge. The string thru fucntion is not a deal breaker. TIA

@GR7G5TER Great to see you over here bro!!

Did you get this sorted? Preamps tubes can last for a very long time, but sometimes they crap out! JJ tubes are generally very solid and reliable

Saw thius on linkdin, it's from 5 days ago (original post is in dutch, translated via linkdin I am extremely proud that we have achieved a successful restart with Bax Music. Over the past month, the new Bax team has worked very hard to get our stores and webshop operational again — and with results. ✅ The stores in Goes, Apeldoorn and Amsterdam are now open again. ✅ Antwerp opens next Friday. Rotterdam is in negotiations. ✅ 🛒 The Dutch webshop is live, the other countries will follow later today. What we have achieved in one month: -The stores will immediately return to the old turnover level of 2024 -More than 120 suppliers have already delivered — our stock position is getting better every day. Only 3 suppliers do not want to do so for the time being and 2 others we have shown the door ourselves -We have made 80% of the old Bax employees a new offer and except for 7 people, everyone has started again or will start soon -Redesigned our entire online store -Thoroughly cleaned up the ERP system -Restored the supply chain software to the situation of November 2024. They had made a mess of it -Cleaned up a lot more stuff from the last 6 months...... 🙏 And all thanks to the incredible team that is now there. Their commitment, dedication and pace are admirable. This is only the beginning of a new chapter for Bax Music.
