1.
I'll look into and someone will report back!
Ta, Shep. Could be going on with other sub-forums as well, I suppose. That just happens to be the one I've noticed.
 2. Just something I've noticed over the last few days, but could have been going on for longer... Posts from the Affiliates Market sub-forum don't show up in the "View New Posts" page. Intentional, or an accidental hangover from when it was locked for a few weeks?
 3. I bought a book from Joe. Nice guy to deal with, and knows how to package a book for posting. Top stuff.
 4.
Ditto!
+1
 5.
Have you had a look at the USA price on the Solid 4.
Sweet baby Jesus and the orphans.
 6.
Caught me out.
Aye, there's nowt gets past me.
 7.
I have the 30mm Green ones
3mm, surely? Surely?
 8. Just for reference, here's the chart of differences between Logic Studio/Pro and Logic Express.
 9.
I've noticed that it seems more prevalent with one piece maple necks
^ This. My Tanglewater and Hondo have both shifted a fair bit over the last few weeks, while the rest of the family have been stable. The Tanglewater and Hondo are the only ones with one-piece maple necks. EDIT: This is, of course, irrelevant to Nigel's OP, given his 3-piece neck, but it's interesting all the same.
 10.
As far as I know, any LPF should be the same
Heavens, no. There are different filter slopes, resonant and non-resonant filters, different bandwidths of the resonant peak at the corner frequency... not to mention the differences in methods and circuits used by different manufacturers, even if they're aiming towards the same goal. It's like saying that every Jazz-type bass should be the same. As an example, Spectrasonics' soft-synth Omnisphere has at least a dozen low-pass filters to choose from, and they all sound different.
 11.
Is comb filtering that almost metallic sounding effect that occurs with short delays?
Yes, it's essentially like a flanger that's "stuck" (i.e. not sweeping... unless the delay time is modulated... in which case you've got a flanger ).
 12.
34ms is a long time in terms of this kind of processing... Not wrong at all just long?
Beat me to it. I believe the Haas effect (per se... not to say you can't use a longer delay for a different effect) really only applies up to 30ms at the most. Beyond that, you may be pushing into the region where some people will hear it as a separate delay, while others may not. Under 30ms, if you pan the delayed signal across the field, it should sound like a "widening" of the original source rather than a separate signal.
 13.
Maybe the truss rod at the wrong end
That was the obvious thing to me. One of his bits of feedback (Google-)translates as "Beware of rip-offs, is a clumsy piece of assembler not original", so I guess it's not his first go at this sort of thing.
 14. D'Addario do one for their DB ranges: http://www.jdaddario.com/resources/JDCBOW/..._Chart_Bass.pdf Other than that, I know nothing cos I'm not a DB player.

 17. <geordie> That's a proper canny bass. Geet lush. </geordie> Hats off to Howard and the late Jim.
 18. Depending on how many loops you need (because it's only got four), the Wobo Proglooper is worth a look. A friend of mine has one, and it works beautifully. You get six presets, each programmable as to which loops they include and whether they're "complete" presets or just added on top of whatever preset you've already got running. There's no price on the website, but I seem to remember it was something in the region of £250-300ish direct from the manufacturer, who IIRC offers a lifetime guarantee for the original owner.
 19.
Any ideas how much my Akai Unibass pedal is worth??? --Dont use it so thinking of putting up for sale, but cant find any guide prices. None been sold on E-bay recently but the Deep impact price has gone through the roof!
Don't get excited by the Deep Impact prices... I sold my UniBass about 18 months ago for £130, and I think that was a pretty good price at the time (from my perspective ). I've seen them go for anywhere from £70 to £180 over the last few years. No pattern, rhyme or reason.
 20.
Ok I have some pricing now. 4 string set will be £17.50 5 string set will be £21.50 6 string set will be £23.50
Is it the same price regardless of "range" (round, flat, nickel, steel whatever)? Or is that just for the nickel rounds?
 21.
Shouldn't that be Iceni?
If they say "Zoot" on the headstock, that's good enough for me. I've never been sure where the "Iceni" bit fits in, to be honest. There seems to be have been a bit of confusion about the Iceni/Zoot thing in the past.
 22.
That is the set I ordered to try out so I will add another. Alan
Top gent, Alan. Thanks.
 23.
I have just ordered a set to try myself. So if you want some let me know and I can add them to the order I have just plaecd.
Alan, I'll go for that if I may. Could you order me a 5-string Silencer set (45-120) for the Recurve, please?
