Sound OK?[/quote] I haven't tried a pair but just the one 8 ohm cab (complete with 4ohm driver ) sounded good. As the RH will go down to 2.7 ohms anyway I suspect that 2 CXL's at 2 ohms will be fine. My iAmp 800 through one is great, 2 to be tried in anger sometime soon hopefully. The iAmp is supposed to chuck out up to 1000w at 2 ohms I believe.

Funny but true - EA CX112 8 ohm cabs have 4 ohm drivers in them ( ) , which explains why: 1. LM heads shut down when using a pair 2. EA heads (that go down to 2 ohms) sound so good through them, positively come alive even. Peter

    Right, now this is complex so sit down and have a cuppa I have a pair of Aguilar DB112's that are great cabs, really excellent. They have Aggie padded covers and one is an NT (no tweeter). I need a pair of EA CX112 cabs. A good friend is happy to do a swap with an EA for the tweeter equipped Aguilar but not the other. So, for sale is a Chocolate brown Aguilar DB112 NT with the official padded and expensive cover for £300. Also consider trading for one EA CX112 or sale of pair for £600 or trade of pair for pair of EA CX112's. Would also consider a trade of the DB112NT for any good quality cab that fits the bill. See I said it was a bit complex. Reason? EA heads definitely need EA cabs to perform at their best imo. Peter

    Anti-clockwise loosens the trussrod (with some fairly rare exceptions) and allows for more relief in the neck.

    I found that the SVT sound, that it did really well, wasn't for me. I thought I'd love it but realise that I'm more of a 'clean and heavy on the mids' sorta guy Peter

    Russ Are you living in Moffat now then? (looks a lot like where we has the bash ) Very workmanlike set of basses there and I'm not at all surprised that the Flea impressed at volume.

    I've had 18 months in a band with someone I've tried to like, and failed completely. Take one self centred narcissistic guitar player who is tired of practicing alone and wants to be a 'rock god' to impress his mates 'down the pub'. He recruits a band, pretends he wants to perform and move forward but really just wants to have a free backing band. He only wants to play his style of music that is narrow and quite bigoted, he won't learn the words or the chords, he won't listen to advice at all and continues in behaving in a way that winds everyone up. 18 months later we've done 3 gigs and he's all hot air and lies. I confront him and it's me that's the problem, that and the obvious personality clash I have with him. Yes I think I do really dislike him
