Good point Trev. Maybe we needed that reminder that there are guys that might not be as elequent as others in terms of forums/the written word but who are mighty fine bassists and people nevertheless.
Hope the deal sorts itself.

I am in the process of putting my 1st rack together at the moment. I admit it I'm a tart with a rack. It's a Boschma 3U with the DTR2000 on top LMII in the middle and when it arrives a dbx166XL compressor in the lower slot. It's a case (no pun intended) of arriving with 3 boxes, 2 x Aggie GS112's, and the Boschma with all the leads tucked in. I makes lugging stuff around so much easier and the likelyness of forgetting something less. It also looks good, the No 1 reason
Personally if I see musicians checking their tuning twixt numbers I see it as a part of the process of ensuring they sound good and care.
I have a 91 NT Thumb and they are truly superb basses. Great neck, no neck dive, growly tone, active & passive, quality construction and beautiful to boot. Not at all expensive for what it is imo.

Ever jump in with both feet and then re-read the original post and think - Doh?
I've just tried looping the tuner thru the FX loop and using the tuner mute (on the 1000 too) and although it attenuates the signal it doesn't kill it, sorry
Very nice.
Nux bars
?
Now you've got me, and I AM old.
Did some googling and it seems they were introduced by Rowntrees in the 50's and never really caught on.
That's the beauty of the beast CK. It has two channels ideally (but not necessarily) one passive and one active. One channel has sweepable mids. It has more features than a very feature laden thing.
Oh and it's sold too.
The Multicomp unfortunately doesn't and isn't

Bump with a nice +ve thread and picture (sans -10 dB pad) on the Microbass from WoT.
The compressor gets a great review on Talkbass (Bongomania's thread)

I'm fairly sure that Warmoth don't do thru necks. Their website is a top way to waste a couple of hours. The body is usually pre pilot drilled for the bridge. Nut come fitted too unless you don't want.

Showcase is a great spot.
Best way to order and ask questions imo is to call them.

I've a newer EBS Microbass II with the -10 dB pad and a Multicomp compressor for sale (Black one).
Both in excellent cherished condition and I think I have the boxes somewhere.
ACG Pre's in basses and a dbx rackmount compressor mean that these are sitting around unemployed.
£175 for the Microbass - sold
£85 for the Multicomp
They don't come with a psu but do take 9v batteries.
I was sure that it did but I'll be buggered if I can find them.
If you tell me they do I'll keep searching, if not I'll order a pair
Thanks in anticipation.

Just to tie in another feedback thread into this one:

I've had one deal that for me went a bit 'sour'. I was the seller (well a trade actually) and the recipient a few days later highlighted a damaged neck which was duly photographed and I have no doubt that it was damaged (by adjusting the trussrod I suspect). The question is when it was damaged. The photo showed 'dirt' in the crack supposedly evidencing it was an old issue but the photos I took of the bass clearly showed no crack at all 2 days before I personally exchanged basses. So the origin of the 'dirt' and the crack was to me very suspect. I ended up buying a new neck from the US and posting it to the other guy. My point is fault's not allways clear and I don't want to drag the whole thing into the public domain with names and counter allegations.
Generally it's been great but as the site gets bigger it's a statistical reality that eventually you'll bump into someone with a different idea of 'right and wrong' to yourself.
I've also had two people commit to buy basses recently and then back out. In one case I was awaiting on the Paypal notification of payment before sending the packaged bass and pm'd the guy to see 'what gives'. He told me he'd forgotten to tell me he'd changed his mind! In the other case I held one for months waiting for the seller to be able to afford it and then they told me they'd bought a much more expensive bass and the deal was off!
Good idea re feedback Nick! - I now have a signature
