1. Nick (OldHorseMurphy) was looking for one a while back. Peter
2. That's quite something Enjoy it and hopefully you'll stay. The best relationships are the ones a little 'battle scarred' imo. Peter
3. Nope, Warwicks! I somehow doubt John'll ever go THAT far, again.
4. Thank you, thank you. I feel better now Beautiful, stunning but not enough gold knobs. Peter
5. I think I can answer this. I went from a Wizard Thumper P to a Darkstar on my Warmoth and at the very lowest setting on the ACG low pass filter the difference is chalk and cheese. Darkstar wins easily.
6. This is a very useful and easy to use guide: http://garywillis.com/pages/bass/bassmanual/setupmanual.html
7. This is a stunning price, can't believe it's still around.
8. Dubya = W (Doubleyew) W = Warwick
9. Chop it off and count the rings?
10. So Josh, is it a NT? Looks very nice although I prefer the gold Knobs myself.
11. Speaking to RDM myself today they seem like a pretty decent bunch of guys.
12. A Harlot S, the most beautiful ACG imo. Also the undoubtably most sumptuous Singlecut. Very nice and a real opportunity to own one of the best basses on the planet for a fraction of their true worth, again imo My Harlot S type 4 string is very nearly finished!! Not that I'm a fan or anything. Peter
13. And No. 1 feedback is to say many thanks to Sean for pointing me in the direction of a Spector I haven't actually got yet. May it be the 1st of many (Feedbacks not Spectors).
14. John You never know. It could be the new Dubya?
15. Not a problem I've a Mum who's nearly ninety and won't notice, and a daughter who earns a sight more than me and will just say 'Oh Dad!'
16.
Thing is, if newbies sign up and then post loads of drivel posts a la bassmankev, does that mean they are no longer a newbie?
Kev's not a 'Newbie' but he can behave like a 'Noob' at times Mind I was young once, a long time ago.
17. I've been following this and other Spector threads with my Spector GAS snowballing! Chatting to Alan, John and others it seems like the whole package in terms of Eronomics, tone and build quality is just what I'm after. A Warwick style NT in a quality that Warwick I think have lost. Despair, the reasonable prices of late with Sound Control going down have all shot up to between £898 and £1099 Then, courtesy of Sean I was pointed towards a Black Cherry EuroLX4 and although it was priced initially at £899 a double check revealed the correct price to be £599. Guess what? Wednesday.
18.
is it the right time to ask that newbies shouldnt be aloud to post threads in the for sales forums yet???
I can sympathise with Ped if this sort of comment makes him feel like jumping through the nearest window. This has been done to absolute death and you know that Kev. Peter
19. It's worth remembering that neither EBS or I suspect EBBM actually make strings.
20. There was a movie with this scenario in and I can't for the life of me remember the title. Hmmm...
21. Just popped in and yes me too
22. Divide £250.50p by 50p and you might Someone remind me of the movie?
23. Yes. It was mine and was bought by another BCer.
24. Dave purchased my EBS Microbass II and was a total star! Peter
25. The best man to ask always is the man himself. Alan is a very nice guy. Happy to chat about such things. Here's his website with models and contact details as well as build diaries for every instrument he's made: http://www.acguitars.co.uk/Specs/ Basically the deepest part of the neck is slightly above the centreline and it allows for the shape of the hand better. Peter
