  1. Another copy of a 70 year old design? Zzzz.
  2. But if you have one strap for each bass... 😎
  3. Grolsch user here... and the locks are decent too *hick!*
  4. Pinegrove Leather make fantastic straps.
  5. 45-105 gauge. 40-100 felt very similar to TIs and LTFs which is not what I wanted.
  6. The tension will not change. Strings 'loosening up' is a myth. Dunlop Flats are the lowest tension traditional flats I've had experience with that aren't TIs or LTFs.
  7. How does changing the EQ increase or decrease string tension? It's impossible.
  8. Try D'Addario ProSteels. Last longer than Rotos but have plenty of punch/brightness/clank.
  9. CMD121P user. Gigged for years with no issues. Great amps.
  10. SIT Foundations and DR Pure Blues are what I'm using currently. Covers most tonal requirements.
  11. I'd ask all roadworn users that.
  12. If artists had a backbone, they would leave Spotify en mass but they don't.
  13. My insomnia has been cured!
  14. Is the break angle big enough? Common problem on A strings.
  15. I have an Encore and a Stagg if that floats your boat?
  16. Remember when Mr Levine needed to see the booty? https://amp.knowyourmeme.com/memes/i-may-need-to-see-the-booty
  17. Roundcore and hexcore strings have very similar tension in the same gauge. The difference is that roundcore strings are more flexible hence the perceived notion that they have less tension.
  18. I think a Squier CV Mustang would be a much better instrument.
  19. Get down to Halfords. They're always trying to shift boxes.
  20. Just get a new singer?
  21. If it helps, the 45-105 gauge Dunlop Black Labels felt very similar tension to Sunbeams/Hi-Beams in the same gauge. Just a tad stiffer.
  22. Superbrights are actually hexcore - they just use a smaller core which makes them more flexible. Black Label Dunlops sound different to Superbrights - they're more broken in from the start and not as bright. If you want a similar feel to 45-105 SS Superbrights, I would go for 40-100 personally. 45-105 would be more tension for sure, perhaps too much? The Black Labels are very similar tension to XLs and Slinkys in my experience. DR Pure Blues and SIT Foundations are two other strings very similar to Superbrights. Pure Blues are probably the stiffest of those three.
