1. New thread for this once since I sold my Streamer 1999 Warwick Dolphin 5 string The bass is in good condition, it has some very minor marks in the wood as would be expected from a bass that is 9 years old. There is no buckle rash on the rear or significant indentations in the wood, there is a slight ridge on the rear of the bass between the body and neck section that passes through the centre of the body The hardware is brass with some very slight fading, but this is hardly noticeable, there is some slight wear on the pick up covers, the MEC logo has worn on the rear pick up The electronics are MEC 2 band, with MEC gold, active p/ups The bass comes in a mint Warwick square case, not the full flightcase, but a good solid case as can be seen in the pictures below Here's what the warwick website says......... The Dolphin's innovative body design, based on a rhombus, is perfectly balanced and gives it the eccentric look to match the demands of eccentric players. An extremely hard Ovangkol wood body, contoured to fit the player, hides the Ovangkol neck-through design. The tuners, the Just-a-nut, pickups, bridge and saddle, are all mounted to the same piece of wood producing limitless unrivaled tones. The vast tone flexibility, provided by the unique jazz/twin jazz pickups, opens up a new dimension - full and round across the entire sound spectrum. For everything from percussive playing to fingerstyle, the Dolphin's sound still loses nothing in fullness and warmth. Neck-through-design Available as 4- or 5-string Left-handed and fretless version available* Ovangkol body Ovangkol neck Wenge fingerboard Dolphin inlays Scale length: 34" (long scale) 26 frets Active MEC J/TJ pickups MEC 2-way electronics Natural Oil Finish Warwick tuners 2-piece Warwick bridge Warwick security locks Gold hardware Just-A-Nut III I've tried to be as honest as possible with the description of the bass, but if you require any more info, please contact me Not something you see offered for sale too often £1050 ono Would consider a trade on this, 4 string only with cash my way

3. Jake, give me a shout next time you are in Manchester Tony
4. I don't know the name? Spent some time jamming along to some tunes I do with a guitarist, chilli peppers, audioslave etc, sounded better towrds the end of the evening, once my hands got used to the spacing. Spoke to the guitarist I play with today (he works with me) and we talked about getting a few of the songs down with a bit of a swing, then maybe doing a few open mike and jam nights. Most are origanils, but Scar tissue looks like it will work well, the line swings anyway. Also looked at putting a walking line into one of our own tunes, maybe just chnage the middle 8. Even after a fe whours playing, it changes the way you think about stuff Tony
5. I need to hear the rest of the story Anyone know of any uprught bass tutors in the Manchester area? Tony
6. this good!!! OK, I've been playing bass for 30 years, I started when I was 2 I've owned just about every make out there in every possible form, from 4 to 7 strings, with and without frets But I ain't enjoyed myself as much for a long time as I have in the last hour, jamming along to some of my fave tunes on a NS wav that arrived today! Yep, sopme of the playing is out of tune and the fact I have a chunk of flesh missing from my right hand index finger doesn't exactly help, but still able to play! I've been reading this section for a while, lurking in the background, some good sound advice being dished out, the first bit of advice I'm going to take is is lessons, I may have been at it for a while, even learnt on DB when I was at school (aged 2 ) but still think it will pay in the long run. The bass came from a guy on e-bay, took a chance has he only had low feedback, got a BIN price off him that was about £100 more than a Stagg. It's black BTW Tony
7.
Came from Rumour6, no? If so, fantastic piece.
YES! Thanks T
8. It is very white! For info, I'm sure most know this, but the T Bass was made by Status for Trace Elliot and is now back in production with a graphite neck version from Status! Electronics are Status 2 band. Check out the images below There are a few marks, the ones on the back are shown with the strange arrows, the one on the front is above the bridge and can be seen in photo 2, there are a few minor knocks on the headsock also
9. Hi Bought this very recently, something "upright" has come up, could do with moving it on. Had it a month or two, white with tort pick gaurd With hard case Good condition, a few minor marks Nice easy action £575 Tony
10. Images as requested via PM's I measured the wires on these, the shortest is approx 150mm, all the others are longer
11. I know where there is a Warwick Dolphin, 5 string for sale in Manchester :-) T
12. Sorry I missed the audere! Let me know if it comes up again!! T
13.
Are you sure Tony Stage I 4 string is a P/J rig...
I know, I have owned a few, my reference was to the "J" part of that p/up combo, figured that was obvious I was using it to give an indication of size T
14. I have a pair of MEC gold active p/ups. They are identical in size and are out of a Stage 2 five string, they also fit 4 string stage 1's, I think they are a ceraminc bar magnet Condition - one is mint, the other has some wear, photo's to follow they are 95mm wide, same as my 4 string jazz Cheers Tony
15. Bump The fault I had with the neck pick up has now ben resolved. I got a pair of used p/ups (couldn't find a single) when fitting it, noticed the fault was due to the earth (outer core of the white cable) was soldered in with the inner core. I had the new pick up in when I realised what had happened. Soldered it in correctly and it works fine. So the bass is now in full working order Tony
16. Hi Saw this earlier and held out replying until this evening as I had a potential buyer for the bass, as a result the bass is now sold Thanks for all the enquiries Tony
17. Just about to hit the weekend BUMP T
18. It is indeed nice wood! Still waiting for new p/up, should be here this week. I will consider a trade on this, but not playing too much 5 string so I have a minimum cash value my way in mind. Always worth a punt though Tony
19. Was asked about string spacing, it is, measured at the bridge, centre of the strings, 17.5mm I will consider a trade on this, but not playing too much 5 string so I have a minimum cash value my way in mind. Always worth a punt though Tony
20. Fel the lurv! Indeed a good place this is! T
21.
it just grates on me,..........
You really should get our more, how can you let something like that "grate" you?
