1. I only saw SLF once with Bruce, that was in '96 when the Sex Pistols played Finsbury park, probably one of the best gigs I've ever been too! Seen SLF a few times recently, great band, good to see Ali back with the guys. I grew up listening to SLF, The Jam and a whole load of punk / new wave bands, SLF were probably one of my favourites, so you can imagine how cool it was to be invited to photograph the band and, at the last gig I went to, meet the band and take some promo shots for next years tour! Bruce signed one of my photos last year, it now takes pride of place on the wall in my music room, I get to shoot a lot of bands, but don't do the signing photo thing very often! Tony
2.
Will you be at Norwich Tony? If so, come and find me after and we'll have a pint. Also, we are after someone to do some photographs during our set. PM me if interested. Cheers, Jamie.
Unfortunately that will be one of the gigs I wont be at, probably Liverpool, Leeds, Birmungham and Hammersmith! Tony
3. My Fender Tele bass i bought around 1980 was from the bass player from the SAlford Jets, if you're over 40 and live in Manchester you may remeber them or their loud mouthed singer, Mr Sweeny I bought an EBS head off Frankie Felix who gets around a bit and my Sei 5 string was made for Payl Turner I played John Entwistles C bass after it was bought at auction! Tony
4. I just got a copy of the new FTJ DVD, a First Class Return. Well worth a listen, I got to see the band on a good few dates last year and as a result, the booklet accompanying the new DVD is full of my photos (not all mine, but a good selection are) Photos aside, I enjoyed every gig I went to and will be around at a few of this years dates, not sure which yet, at least 3, maybe 4 The DVD is well worth a punt though! ... check out the photos too ;-) Tony
5. Hi I photographed the Paul Gilbert (ex Mr Big etc etc) gig in Manchester last night, great bass player, Craig Martini, anyone ever heard of him before? He was on it with Mr Gilbert, playing insane runs note for note with the ex Mr Big guy! This sort of gig ain't normally my bag, but enjoyed it, probably due to some great bass playing, plus, PG is a thenominal guitarist! Tony
6. I put this in the wrong section T

8. Will try and get a few high (ish) res shots on here, feel free to use these as you wish! The light had a touch too much red/orange in it all day, I guess it emits a feeling of warmth? a bit of variation would have been nice, maybe some blue! First up, TM, with a little dread blur!
9. It's 11:05 and I'm still say drinking coffee at home, better go get on a bus! T
10. I'll be there, spoke to stevie today and will be photographing the day, shots should appear on here within a few hours depending on what time I get home Bald head, big bag of cameras and probably a blue t-shirt that says RACE CREW on the back (cos I got a few of them) I'll try and dig out some previous bass day shots tonight, but I got a magazine deadline that I'm working too tomorrow, so may not happen T
11. I was feeling, I got felt and this is now sold pending the usual T
12. I'm tempted, but a new camera beckons! My first "nice" bass was a '72 Fender Tele bass in blonde with the big humbucker, bought it off Mr Hubbard from the Salford Jets for £150 in 1980 (ish) T
13. Hi Have owned this NS wav EUB for around 6months, was getting a lot of playing time at first, really enjoyed it, but being practical, I'm playing it more like a fretless than an upright, so my fretless ended up getting more use It's black and comes with stand and bag, mint condition, everything works fine, but I think one of the plastic knobs on the stand is a little worn! £450 T
14. This bass is now looking sold, pending payment! Looks like it wil be heading overseas! I guess the derranged dollar has helped! Tony
15. Nice Joe, pleased for ya mate! I'm lovin my Sei 5, but I'm getting the Nordy itch! T
16. I would ship if you paid shipping but I guess it would be a lot of $$, it's expensive to europe from what I recall so HK is gonna be off the scale! I'm in Istanbul at the noment so ain't got a lot of time to look prices, will check it out when I get back, unless someone can give a rough weight estimate? Tony
17. Funky bumpamatic T
18. Just my 2 pence worth..... I own a Sei Jazz 5, second one I've had, changed from the first one I had as it was a nice natural wood finish and I'm more of a solid colour man (I now own a white Sei Jazz, personal preference) Build quality is superb and they have one of the nicest necks on a 5 I've played, the neck profile and feel was consistant across both Sei's I've owned This is a passive bass so can't comment on the sound! At £900 it's bargain, a serious high end bass from probably one of the best luthiers in the UK Tony
19. I've been away for a while bump and price reduction to £550 shipped T
20. This is sold, I know cos I have it ! Tony
21. My four string MIJ '75 re-issue cost me £200, BARGAIN! To have my 5 string made by Sei, according to their current pricing is around £2425 5 string T-bass is £575 is you wanna buy one Tony
22. One of these in the Bass Gallery for £950!
23. Can't find ther black 'ray shot, I'm sure it came off of dudepit, so lost for ever All this talk of status necked rays is reminding me of the 100 NAMM bass I once had T
