1. It is a good price, but I didn't have any intention of profiting off this, it has served it's purpose for me! I did get asked about the issue of it's playabilty after the comment in the first thread about a buzz on the 3rd fret on E string, in my opinion this is fine, didn't really notice it, the bass is perfectly playable, also, I've heard far noisier pots! But all this is irrelevant as it is now sold pending the usual I did this on a first to say "YES" basis, snooze ya loose I guess!! Tony
2. Yeah, thanks for finding that link, I posted this just as I was leaving work, I just got in and got a fair few PM's already I'm in Manchester BTW, for those who asked! Tony
3. I bought this a few months back from Rumour 6, wanted a fretless to get me back into fretless playing and it worked! I play a lot of 5 string and now have a 5 string fretless, so now this is back up for sale. I'm at work at the monent, so can't be 100%, but I think it is a 1979 model It has seen a lot of use, has plenty of marks, but is still a great playable bass. I was considering refinishing it, but the need for a 5 took priotiy I'll find the origanil post later as it has more detail on it SOLD, pending the usual! Tony
4. It's his big fat fingers that do it!

6. I've had a few 'rays, at least four 4 string and a few 5's, all have been good basses. I used to spend a lot of time loitering around the Bass centre when it existed in manchester and have played many more than I've owned, to be honest, not played a real bad one, those that weren't so good, just needed a good set up IMHO There is variation for sure, but less than US Fender IMHO I am currently running a 2005 beutter cream 4 string and it is very nice indeed! T
7. Both are SOLD, apologies for not updating this thread T
8. Yeah, thats the one! That is nice!! How are you finding it? I saw the warwick, not really my thing. would consider an ebony necked warwick if one was to show up! Tony
9. 5 string Pentabuzz is the holy grail in this particular quest! T
10. A while back I bought an Ibanez musician fretless off of this forum, it was intended to see of a return to playing fretless was the right thing to do, and yes it is, really enjoying playing it! So, now I feel it is time to find another fretless, I play 4 and 5 string and would prefer to have my fretless with 5 strings, I also prefer lines, the more subtle the better (don't really want to get into an unlined vs lined thing, lines is what I want, end of!) But there seems to be a "void" when it comes to 5 string lined fretless basses, I would have plenty of options with 4 strings, but not 5, unless I spent big $$ There are a few out there, such as the Gary Willis bass, but choice is limited. I'm not in a rush here and I have a few options, buy a 5 string with a fret board made of a suitable material and have it defretted or buy a fretted bass and have a new lined fretboard fitted, this gives me more options, but I guess will cost more. Not sure how much this sort of work costs, so any pointers would be good I'm fairly open to the type of bass here, probably would avoid warwicks with anything other than an ebony board, but thats it Cheers Tony
11.
PM
So did I, about 2 days ago! Not heard anything yet TU2 plus cash!! Tony
12. a shilling maybe T
13. I remember there was one in the Bass Centre in manchester, with LED's, was there for ages! Tony
14.
Just because they're listed doesn't mean they're in stock. I remember everyone had VT Bass pedals and Ashdown Little Giants advertised weeks/months before they were actually available!
Exactly! Which is why asked the question, are they in the shop! T
15.
glad you're enjoying the EBS
I am indeed, hence me resurecting a thread where I was contemplating moving back! Cheers Tony
16. same time post!
17. I got the ones that are on the EBS website, they are eccentric so you can move pedals around a bit if you need them lined up on a board. Give Bernie Goodfellow a ring at GB guitars Tony
18. Tonkdown? So GAK have these listed on their website, do they have them in the shop as well? Anyone know anywhere else that has them, would be interested to hear how a few of them sound, especially the synth pedal, it amy be expensive, but compared to other synth pedals out there, if it works well, it may be worth a look T
19. I'm back in the fold! Picked up a TD650 last week, like the return of an old friend, I prefer the clartiy of these amps to almost everything I've tried. I was going to chnage the pre in my Sei jazz, but the EBS has shown a side of it I didn't know it had, probably still going to put a J-retro in there though! Tony
20. Is that brand new?
21.
Positively yes from me. Tom
SOLD pending the usual T
22. I got made an offer, 2 days ago, of £400, I have PM'd the person, but no reply, first to give me a positive yes at £400 has it Tony
23. Got an EBS TD650 off Josh, no problem, as described. Cheers Tony
