Which ones, are you sure its me? I have had another brainwave on the cab front,Is your neo 2x12 a 4 ohm? Because I could use both with your 750 head to create a 2ohm 4x12 twin tweeter 750watt monster!
The 750's got a powerflex switch between 8/4 ohms or 2 ohms but the 2x12 says its a 4 ohn cab. That sounds pretty scary, if you switched it to the valve channel to thicken it up it would be pretty intense haha. The videos I was watching was of a really nice 70's blue P bass, a black(star?) rickenbacker and a white one plus a jazz and an old stingray - loadsa nice vintage basses EDIT: Apologies! I was watching a video of a 77 stingray and just assumed it was you lol brain lapse

USA Peavey Cirrus in pretty much immaculate condition with hardshell case - they're going for approx.£900 2nd hand atm due to custom shop exclusivity. A damn good all rounder which I associate with Rudy Sarzo (Whitesnake), Verdine White (Earth, Wind and Fire), John Taylor (Duran Duran), Bill Dickens (Solo Artist) and other Gospel players. Does P/J and a Hi-Fi R'N'B - mainly a punchy eighties bass. Has the ability to cut through like a knife and fall back into the mix with the EQ knob. Neck is unlaquered and quite similar to a Musicman Sterling. Slaptastic and cuts through like a knife. Custom/Hand made Graphite Reinforced 24 fret 35" scale neck (great tension, fantastic for drop tuning!) TFL Active Pickups Pau Ferro Fingerboard (although looks rosewood to me!) 'C' Mother of Pearl inlay on 12th fret Thru Neck 5pc maple/purple heart Contoured Alder wings Figured Maple top with light flame Graphite faced headstock Gold schaller/ABM hardware with black plastic knobs (Volume, Bass, Treble, Mid, Pickup Balancer and EQ). Sub 8lbs. 4 strings From £795 to £740 posted.

Metallica's Trujillo Rescues Jaco Pastorius' Bass of Doom
Schnozzalee replied to Grand Wazoo's topic in Bass Guitars
I really don't get Metallica at all, nothing else matters is a good song though I recognise that. Never expected to see Jaco's instrument in Trujillos hands, I'd prefer it if it was in a museum and the guys from Gospel chops brought it out for a bass festival or something. I don't think its benefitted the pastorius family at all, RT owns it w***in about on stage looking like a monkey, did I mention I don't get metallica? Vastly overrated and I'm a heavy metal fan. Urrgh, I'm annoyed. If you listen to 'The Essential Jaco Pastorius' CD you'll see why, from genius to retard - Pastorius used to leave me cold when I first heard him but listen to that...then St. Anger... -
Well, to be fair the G&L has been replaced by an amazing Aria, and that is stopping the Fender being played. Would like to see some pics Schnoz. '78 to late for you?
Cirrus vs Aria would be a good youtube comparison for the Duran fans! Aww poor G&L, I love the Super P sound too much I think. I sure do have some pics just PM me a convenient Email Addy and they'll be coming your way. Ahh the '78 is a spanner in the works
That Cirrus looks lurvley. Always fancied one of these.
Pretty stunning finish wise, mine just a 4 string version of that. I'd recommend trying one out, you'd be just as pleased with it as your G&L! Glad to see your keeping the '78, sounds great on your myspace recordings

Its gonna be another week until I can consider posting this one guys. I'm glad its not a bike lol! I'm still thinking about keeping it, the woodgrains purdy. I can imagine a sub being less warm with more punch, this is more of a high output Phat P/J bass but does R'N'B nicely . Also does a passive style P/J (the bass is not active)

Maple looks best, feels better - but its all about the sound! Rosewood is better, gotta have some warmth on a jazz. If your a slap guy pick graphite. Rosewood looks better on vintage instruments.
MB1. ...This be the one you should keep Oli ...Lovely Bass!...wouldnt mind having it back!...alas" Stingray Says...NO!"... (wallet is in also in agreement!)
Haha it is tempting, I may well do. The electronics are phenomenal, but its either this or the USA Cirrus. G&L's are better in the mix I feel.

Hi BCers, Got this in a trade from MB1 a the start of the year, wouldn't mind keeping it: A particularly nice G&L L2000 Tribute - looks like an older version (No made in Indonesia sign!). Its natural swamp ash with a hard rock maple neck and fretboard with that all important 21st fret. Its surprisingly light 8lbs-ish! The electronics are the same as the USA model with the big active/passive which I love, favourite electronics to date. Swirling in the pop zone and a mark above the heel. Comes with hardshell case and new strings. Punches well above its weight, very versatile. Nothing else to say. Full review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WT4AP58jC5o £350 collected from Cardiff or £365 Posted, price is firm - I'd rather keep it for any less! No trades. Bank Transfer/Cheque only. No Paypal. P.S Apologies to MB1 for using his photos
