  1. @Geek99 I'm afraid that's the reason for sale - I only play toy basses with fisher price strings😬
  2. If I had the budget for a Fender Custom Shop (Precision) bass, I would be going to Jon Shuker. I went Carvin for my Jazz, but you can't find them anymore, so I'm not sure what I would recommend now. You can beat Fender basses at any price, but not their amps.
  3. Thank you Pete - It saw off both my Bravewood and Fret King Green Label, so it's a gift for someone. I will be including the big padded gig bag too.
  4. Thank you - I bought it's sister at the same time, which was a special edition for Ivor Mairants. They were really firing on all cylinders...

  7. There was some in PMT that were clearly made differently a few years back.
  8. The originals sell quick anywhere around £1,300 (or less). The only things I didn't like about the originals, was some of the 4s were 35" scale and you couldn't switch to passive, otherwise they're as good as anything high end.
  9. Pickup has a vintage voice with about 1/3 extra volume (passive), which is helpful for muted genres like Reggae or Oakland Funk and Hard Rock etc and then just roll back for normal.
  10. £25 posted. I can un-solder the pickup from the loom for you, or provide the original nut washers etc if you need it, with a ground wire for the bridge. I can also swap the 'big lug' Korean pickup covers to normal ones, depending on your bass.
  11. Dean DMT Precision Bass Pickup from South Korea - Made by G&B who build for PRS etc. Excellent condition with original covers (no screws) - I haven't cut the wires and they're still attached to the Alpha 250k loom. Sounds like this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdL0XLNo47Y https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBPIwQjEEiM If you would like a bass bridge like the one in the video, I will include that for an extra £5 (with screws). Otherwise £30 £20 posted to UK Mainland via PayPal F&F.
  12. Indian Laurel is a shitter, which is why it hasn't been used before. In some countries it's know as 'dog turd deluxe' but I forget which. Pau Ferro however has been and as mentioned above, is between Rosewood and Ebony in terms of feel. I think it looks great in the flesh too and makes me regret not buying a Victor Bailey.
  13. Hipshots sold. Probably have the concert ticket for each of the signed items.
  14. If you haven't tried already, I'd recommend listing on TheFretboard UK forum (it's free) - Polite community and several of the longstanding members have S2s as their No. 1.
  15. A G&L I owned had a redburst similar to what you have now, but just on the plain swamp ash body... I miss that guitar.
