Last of the herd thinning listings and it's a belter The body is black walnut built by Paul Walsh @Bassmonkey, finished in Nitro Shoreline Gold by the magnificent Dave Wilson with: Fender Custom Shop ‘62 pups Badass II Bridge Kiogon loom with CTS Pots Fender tort plate Fender Precision Knobs The neck is an Allparts Jazz maple neck with white/pearl blocks and bindings. Tuners are Hipshot Ultralights. It was all put together and set up by Paul with a new set of Markbass roundwounds and she weighs in at a respectable 9lb 4oz It's in mint, unmarked condition and will come in a tatty but functional hard case. The dark area on the side of the neck between 9th & 12th frets is the wood grain, not any blemish Would rather do collection or happy to drop off or do a halfway meet within 1.5 hours or so of Wakefield, West Yorkshire. I've reduced this from £900 to £800 for a straight sale Only trade I’m interested in is a Helix Floor That seems fair for the quality and condition. Not looking for trades at this point.

Next in line on the thinning down is this Roadworn Jazz bitsa Body is a MIJ 62 reissue which has been refinished in cream over white. It's a nice enough roadworn effect with plenty of scop to add some more wear 🙂. Pickups are from a Geddy Lee MIJ. The cavity is well insulated with copper tape and there are brass shielding strips under the pickups. The brass strip to the bridge is purely cosmetic. Wiring loom and CTS pots came from KiOgon. Bridge is a Fender BBOT. The neck is an Allparts jazz neck I bought from a guy in the US who does the roadworn effect. It's really nicely done. Tuners came with the neck and I think are Gotoh but can't be 100% sure. The fender decal I added isn't the best of jobs in terms of the laquer over the top. She weighs in at 9lb 2oz on the digi scales It plays really well. The action is nicely low but my jazz bass needs are well catered for with others. Would rather do collection on this as I've no case for it, but happy to drop off or do a halfway meet within 1.5 hours or so of Wakefield, West Yorkshire. I've priced at £400 after looking at recent bitsa prices with similar quality parts Not looking for trades at this point. I would consider splitting the neck and the body for £200 apiece if there is interest.

1983 Squier JV PB-57 Precision for sale due to me deciding this is the time to thin the herd down. I believe it's all original, except for the black scratchplate that's currently on it but i will also supply the original single ply white one. You can see the raised A string pole pieces in the pics. This one weighs in a mere 8lb 2oz on the digital bathroom scales. In great condition for a nearly 40 year old bass, a couple of tiny body blemishes, the neck is completely unblemished with frets in excellent nick. Truss rod works fine both ways. Pots are still smooth. No tarnishing on the chrome. Moreover, it plays like a dream - a proper old school precision with a neck that is super playable. It will come with a Fender hardcase as shown in pics. Would rather do collection on this, but happy to drop off do a halfway meet within 1.5 hours or so of Wakefield, West Yorkshire. I've priced it based on recent sales but I'm open to sensible offers. Not looking for trades at this point.

Not masses. Just enough for the mains lead and a line cable. I’ve since upgraded to a much stronger military surplus case.

That’s down the road from me but I can’t quite figure what’s on offer in terms of rehearsal space

We currently use Eiger but struggling to nail down a regular slot. I do like it though.

Just wondered where fellow BC’ers were rehearsing in the Leeds/ Wakefield areas. Seems to be more bands and less space since a few places shut down last couple of years.

1991 Rickenbacker 4003 in midnight blue - roadworn - *SOLD*

Something a little different here. its a 1991 4003 in midnight blue with black hardware. Think they did a limited run of these in red, and in white as well as the blue. Over the years, the colour of this one has changed to a more petrol blue due a mixture of age, sweat, sunlight and I suspect tobacco. It has numerous chips on body, neck and headstock, the finish on the rear of the neck is partly worn away. It’s a genuinely roadworn Ric it looks great, it plays great and the neck is lovely it had a full set up last year and new strings (markbass if I recall). Asking price is £1500 and I’ve tried to balance out the limited edition aspect of the bass against the roadworn condition. Not an easy one to price. im based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire and I’d rather do collection or meet up if possible. PS - I’ve got the original case which is even more roadworn than the bass but I’ve got new latches for it which just need fitting by any decent cobbler with the rivet tool. Just need to locate those new latches following a recent housemove.
