  1. Thanks for the input everyone. Much to mull over but the midi and physical DMX controller seems the way forward.
  2. That’s where my mindset is going Tim Can pick up an Obey 70 for about £70 and stick it in a rack case between my amp and cab Then I can always midi commands to it from my pedal board if I can figure it out.
  3. I’m looking to upgrade the bands lighting. We’re just a covers band who play the pub circuit so no luxury of a sound or light person. We currently just have a 4 par Equinox unit with a broken footswitch and are going to add a wash light or 2. Clearly DMX is the way forward to control the lights but I’m torn between 2 options. The iPad route would be clean as we already use a router for the iPad controlled mixer. But the big problem I see is how are we going to control it when we’re all busy playing. Second option is a dmx controller with midi input. As I run a Morningstar mc6 into a Helix Stomp presumably I could run through into the dmx controller and call up Chasers from there. Downside on that is that it’s another lump of kit to transport. Just wondered what other similar bands used.

  6. Great little headphone amp with instrument, aux and XLR mic input. Can be linked up to other units so you can have your own personal band mix. I use my helix for headphone practice now so this is surplus £25 including UK postage.
  7. Another spares box clearing find. This was on Columbus Jazz that i bought as a project but clearly not original. Its a 4 hole (no screws sorry) bridge. Pretty chunky at 280g. Adjustable string spacing with the threaded saddles. £25 uk posted but open to offers if that's highball for what it is !
  8. Chrome straplocks, black buttons (no screws sorry) Found clearing out the spares drawer ! £12 uk posted

  10. Unused, unboxed pair of Jazz pups. I'm assuming they're JBX and not JBXN as the magnets are quite chunky ! £30 uk posted
  11. I’ve got j-retro, p-retro and u-retro in other basses but I just don’t think the uni-pre will fit in here.the glockenlang 4 pot unit looks a lot more compact
  12. Hi all Lookiny for some guidance as to a replacement for a Sadowsky pre in a Shuker pj bass. The ideal choice was a John East uni-pre 4 knob but I’m not convinced the cavity has room for it. The 3 knob version might fit but I’d need a new pick guard I’ve attached some pics to show the space available in the cavity and would appreciate thoughts about what 3 band 4 knob set up might fit. Thanks in advance

  20. Bought a nice bitsa from Paul. Really good guy to deal with.
  21. Just to throw another angle on this interesting listing, I'm potentially looking for a nice neck for a project bass and assuming this is a standard Fender type fit, this one could fir the bill. I'm Yorkshire based though so not in a position to collect and part out myself. I'll stand back and await the sacrilege accusations 😉
