  1. No one wants to blow a seal. Yes I'm immature and crude
  2. This is the one I want. They're very expensive but they look amazing and Al Cisneros is a heavy bass leg end https://www.hotroxuk.com/rickenbacker-4003ac-limited-addition-al-cisneros-bass.html
  3. Nope, just a simple Mexican P bass but tuned down to A#
  4. Do the AT7 valves solve the wooley sounding distortion? That's my biggest problem with the amp.
  5. I had the amp repaired last year after the power section blew up. While he was in there he checked the preamp and was of the opinion that the valves were fine. He said it just sounds how a mk1 Terror sounds.
  6. I've never been 100% happy with my Orange Terror 500 mk1. Its plenty loud but turning up the gain sounds really wooley and I want plenty of gain. Yesterday I tried my Two Notes Le Bass straight in to the effects return which I believe bypasses the Orange preamp and just uses it's power section. It sounds much better but could it cause any harm? I had to run the master volume a bit higher but I guess that's just because I'm missing the preamp gain.
  7. There's so many bassists who I'm a fan of who play Rickenbackers, I have to try one at some point. They're really popular in doom and stoner metal plus there's Lemmy, Peter Hook and Cliff Burton.
  8. Two timing touch and broken bones - Hives
  9. Unusually for Scott Devine, only a few seconds of pointless noodling.
  10. Some say Scott refuses to work with anyone who has more hair than him. His buddy from the colonies used to have a massive affro but Scott made him shave it off to get the job. Very sad, he lost his wife when he shaved off the fro
  11. Scott Devine seems to be getting a little less annoying. Only a little though. How could they miss Lemmy when talking about iconic Rickenbacker players?
  12. Maybe I should try moving it on the board. I've got it after the compressor and tuner. I'll try it on its own as well.
  13. Has anyone managed to get a decent tone out of a fur coat? I'm struggling.
  14. Cult of Luna Recommendation in this very forum Post metal
  15. That looks like a 14 year old has been given a bass from a charity shop and some paints and been told to go nuts. It looks s**t
  16. I remember the Centauro. The ugliest motorcycle ever to come out of Italy and the reviews were pretty terrible at the time
  17. F**k Off - Kid Rock Dammit his music is so terrible.
  18. When I worked in automotive engineering we used a lot of Chinese made parts and as long as you keep on top of the QC they're fine. Give them an occasional non conformance note so they know its being checked and the quality is spot on but let it start to slip a bit and you get problems. I guess BMW and Harley didn't keep on top of their QC checks. Let's be honest, faulty wiring is part of the Triumph character. It brings back memories of British made Lucas wiring. There was a bloke on TV a while back with a Lancia and when asked whether everything worked he said If everything worked then it would be an Audi and I don't want an Audi.
  19. Close string spacing makes me want one even more
  20. I kind of want to try a Ric but they're way out of my price range so I can't incase I like them. It's a shame (for me) they never did a cheaper range of basses
