  1. Marijuanaut - Sleep
  2. I think it was their records up to black than are the reason they're so huge. Everything after that was good but not amazing and they've made some terrible choices in mixing. Master of Puppets and Ride The Lightning are both top class metal records.
  3. In my opinion (others may have different/wrong opinions) the best grunge album. Mike Star's bass sounds amazing on every track
  4. If it's still available when my p bass sells then I may very well buy it.
  5. Overrated - Behringer Super fuzz clone. Sounds like fried butt holes on bass and guitar. Some people rave about these things. Underrated - Peavey International IV. Sounds great, plays great and cost £80 used Ashdown MAG300 combo. Really sounds great, cost £150 quid and loads of volume.
  6. My Orange Terror Bass amp. The preamp isn't good. It doesn't do clean and the overdrive tones are woolly and a bit crap. I'm still using it but with a Two Notes Le Bass in to the effects return to bypass the orange preamp section. I wish I'd bought an Ashdown ABM600 instead.
  7. Stored Energy - Suam
  8. Darkglass B3K CMOS overdrive. In great condition. Everything works as it should. Really versatile pedal with a huge range from light vintage style grit to full on modern metal grind. I just fancy a change to be honest
  9. Another worldly device - Prong
  10. Shocking. Old man dislikes rap.
  11. Time Bomb - Rancid
  12. Avenues and Alleyways - Rancid
  13. I believe Stranglers have a larger following in the US than the UK.
  14. Fender Mexican Standard Precision bass. 2007 Arctic white Alder body Rosewood fretboard Maple neck EMG Geezer Butler signature pickups Beautiful condition
  15. Change in the house of flies - Deftones
  16. Frost hammer - High On Fire
  17. Hypnosis hemorrhoids- Angella Peters
  18. They were certainly no better than any of them. For some reason in the US they liked the super bland rock that came along after grunge. I saw Bush supporting someone (possibly Pearl Jam?) back in the late 90's and I couldn't fault their playing or singing in any way, they were competent but boring.
  19. I rarely follow through on my commitments
  20. I've been guilty of the gig emissions. I'm not going to say I'm innocent. At Arctangent festival last month, I drank ale and ate jerk and then got in the pit for Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs. Apologies to anyone behind me.
  21. Surely at any gig you're almost guaranteed to end up stood behind the person with the worst wind in the audience.
  22. Back door man - The Doors
  23. I tried this using a Dutch oven. Now my strings smell bad and the tone stinks but I can hit the brown note now
  24. Coming up next month on consecutive days Cult of Luna for an hour and a half wall of sound post metal with an epic live performance. The best band I've ever seen. Alcest for an evening of French shoe gaze metal. Another excellent live band.
  25. San Quentin - Nickelback An absolutely terrible song about getting locked up in a maximum security prison for drink driving but it's OK because they did it all for rock and roll.
