  1. Cabinet and Carpet to tackle tomorrow... So its a Glue, Brush, and a go over with one of them jumper bobble thingies... get a couple of the plastic corner jobbies ordered... who know's why SWR diddn't fit em to the front-est top corners. Then track down a mains lead, and check the Blah! Blah! in the Buildings and Home Contents Insurance documentation...
  2. Amp out, control board out for a pot squirt and jack socket doings with a cotton bud, WD40 squirt 'n wipe of the front panel and surrounding areas... came up alright...
  3. Not allowed anymore guitars... So a little (or not so little...) combo project couple of days shouldn't get me in toooo much trouble! Spotted this Washing Machine... that's what the Mrs thought she was getting... on Faceache... Close and Cheap and fell for the '#7 advert excuse of' Haven't got a mains lead so cannot test... IBS... Integrated Bass System or Irritable Bowl Syndrome? What are they like and what should I expect for my £20?.. other than Furk-All or a Shower of Sparks!.. Who knows?.. it might even work!
  4. Something simple... wiresor something in side? (Didn't some have a unsecued P clip around a wire that was knocking inside something?..) You tried it on it's side, or upside down?
  5. From looks.. odd colourings and my two bodies from Luthier Craft... Quite possibly Poplar...
  6. Far too confident screwing the cavity plate on... Yep... Blend working Ar$e about Face... Think DiMarzio wiring diag was for AC not MN... nothing stated... and their recommended 250k / 0.033u don't seem to do much tone-wise... 'praps i should go A250?.. might even do without... [Edit: Just removed the tone...] Think i might need to take a second look as Vol doesn't seem to go Zero? Anyone? Un-Ground the Blend?
  7. Nope... I sanded of the Westfield expecting to be left with some black... But the black was real thin, and went thru in other areas... under was lacquered... and a Maple Neck (and Sound Block maybe 'Through'...) Was odds-ing trying black, but the under black finish was smooth n nice, maple kind of ties in the cream binding...
  8. B.B. had Lucille... I've got Michelle...
  9. Pickups In... ...and Wired Up Fingers Crossed the Blend is wired up correct, same goes for the jack. Set-Up Next... Still need some Jazz Pickup Outline Shaped Packaging Foam from as surrounds in the original routs... Anyone?
  10. ^ I get that... but will confirm the contact and 'fussy' Jack plug length... Those sockets usually come with 2 or 3 red fiber washers to use depending on chassis thickness... i think the star grounding washer - although a great idea and design touch, may just of made the jack requirement a little long... Hence take the chrome nut off to feel how a jack seats...
  11. Real nice looking brown burst... I not a fan of the overly red n yellow bursts... That price drop is half a Tonerider, if it needs it at all... just sayin' Certainly got that Classic Vibe... Timeless... GLWS
  12. Looks like a lot of white bushing... With the lid off try a plug, then remove the chrome nut and try again... I recon its the depth of socket / jack

  15. I'm thinking that the 0.3 may now be a little thick to conform... but was worried 0.2 might just be like thick foil... Waiting on some dremmel cutting wheel to take the most off before glueing...
  16. When he's at school I'm gonna change EVERYTHING to Cowbell... If i can work out the tech!..
  17. Too much pressure and/or time tends to scallop the wood between frets... I get my wife to order these from... https://www.shein.co.uk/10pcs-Color-Block-Nail-Buffer-Sanding-Block-Files-Sponge-Nail-Polisher-Professional-Manicure-Tools-For-Acrylic-Nails-Care-For-Optimum-Natural-Nail-Care-p-13049383-cat-3335.html As She buys a lot of tat from there... Superdrug, Boots etc... https://amzn.eu/d/aaaAOm3 4 sides of different grade... great for a Neck Edge, Fret End, Fret Polish and Buff... all in one...
  18. Ground Hogs... Cherry Red... Waiting on the Pickup Foam to arrive to finish an Ibby SR400 Passive Jazz Conversion... I got slapped in the Faceache by a Westfield ES355-alike... 19. Loom sorted... A500k Vol, MN500k Blend, B250k & 0.033uf Tone... as per DiMarzio recommended values - although I opted for a Linear Tone pot rather than Taper.
  20. Ibby SR 305... and take the pre-out... re-wire VBT with existing pick-ups...
