I would vote for a fretless Westone Thunder 1A. Unlined board, gorgeous tone. I replaced my Squier VM fretless with this as I think it is a better made, better sounding bass that goes for much the same, or less, money secondhand. Status black nylon flats, yum yum. As a fellow back sufferer I found this video full of invaluable stuff. I found myself nodding and agreeing all the way through - all familiar techniques I have been taught in yoga and core strengthening exercises. So why haven't I been doing it when playing bass!! Should be pinned for sure.

Mine is sat 2 ft away, a ruler 1ft away - 38mm at the nut, 20mm deep at the first fret position. Not as skinny as the skinniest Jazz style necks such as a Geddy Lee, Jaguar or my Precision Lyte (which is 18mm deep at the first fret), but more like a 'regular' Jazz. Whatever that is.

Here's a thought - should I ask Andy to do the headstock to match? It should have a matching headstock, really, but I changed it to natural when I made my clumsy attempt at a re-fin.

Just finished putting it back together. It really looks the mutts! And, with a bit of judicious soldering, I managed to cure the slight grounding problem it had always had before - this is fitted with a U Retro preamp and I have found the East preamps need the extra mile with grounding. 7lbs of Fender's finest now looking as it should. Sounds amazing, too! Thanks for a brilliant job, Andy. Literally! I use spit (preferably mine), a J cloth and my thumb nail to de-gunk, then lemon oil.

I have a 90s MIJ Fender Precison with a MM maple Jazz neck. It is absolutely lovely, with no issues whatsoever. Straight into the pocket, good fit, no need to shim or do anything excessive on the bridge, even.
