    Beautiful bass - this refin looks great! I'd say if it sounds good and is structurally sound, don't worry too much about the rest. Some upkeep/maintenance comes with the territory when we play vintage instruments

    I've stumbled upon his videos on youtube recently then searched for some info and just found this thread.... this guy is an amazing soloist, there are lots of good stuff on youtube but he's among the very best players IMHO... great fingerstyle technique, very smooth with no unnecessary movements...     Sorry it's not in my habit to post comments in the for sale thread but... if you want to make a profit (not that there's anything wrong with it), why put the bass for sale on the very same board you bought it on, just a few weeks later? I've had basses that I sold below their value cause I wanted a quick sale, and then later the new owner tried to make a profit on it... that's ok in my book, but at least they had the decency of selling it via another channel, like ebay or through a shop. I totally empathize with the original owner here...

    Very nice playing there! Great tone too... May I ask how you made the video? I assume you recorded the bass direct in the computer and then synchronised the soundtrack to the video? Any idea how to do that?

    sorry to hear that Steve This Celinder is a great instrument and one of the best J-bass I've played. Whoever gets this should be really pleased.

    did you buy that bass from a Basschat member? I remember playing a carbon-necked stingray 5 at a basschat bash years ago and it was a very good one.
