  1. They still benefited from a certain degree of moulding.
  2. How about Brian Epstein with the Beatles?
  3. This applies to society in general I think. Anyway the music industry has no interest at all in selling products with maximum artistic integrity. It's about the "pop star" lifestyle and maximum capital generation. I'm wondering how many major players in the industry can explain the difference between a major and a minor scale 🤔
  4. The F word is so powerful that there's a growing number of Squiers in classified ads with the narrative starting "Fender Squier" instead of 'Squier by Fender"
  5. They're Bass Direct's photos hence the joke from Bass Direct 🤣
  6. Crazy isn't it? The truss rod wheel made so much practical sense as well. What if Fender went after all the companies that have their own version of their famous designs. I know it's just the headstock that's copyright protected but still. And yes with regards to the Ultra comment. Makes me wonder what they'll do next and at what cost...
  7. Cool. Hopefully that combination gives you what sound you're after or at least comes close.
  8. RIP Sam Moore who passed away just last month. January 10th 💐
  9. Let me know what you think 👍
  10. So based on that will you look for a Trace Elliott amp if you don't already have one?
  11. I'm sure you already knew Wilton was also a killer bassist? That's him on bass on the Jackson 5's I Want You Back (as one example)
  12. Does it include The Sound Table?
  13. It was YEARS before I clocked it was a cover of an O'Jays original 😎
  14. That's a really unfortunate experience. Not cool at all to say that to you. Wow!
  15. Some users can't feel the difference between the Korean and Indonesian ones. Do you have an opinion on this?
  16. Mikebass456 said that not me 🤣
  17. Why not sorry for me? This joke clearly flying over my head 😁
  18. I just did 🤔
  19. My experience tells me the Korean made Laklands such as yours feel better than the Indonesian made ones. I know others won't agree necessarily with that and I may even be wrong but the(smallish) sample I've tried of each favours the Korean ones. This shouldn't take too long to sell.
  20. Damn right too 👏
  21. It's finding one that may be the issue.
  22. Made in country x or y really does mess with our heads doesn't it? I've played Korean built basses that can run rings around anything coming out of Corona USA.
  23. Absolutely correct. The Mexican series I think you're referring to is the Deluxe Series from way back. I believe some of them had American preamps and pickups. Suhr era electronics I think with single pole pieces per string pickups.
  24. Very sensible decision 👏 I've had a few Squiers in the past and it's never occurred to me scrub the Squier name off for a Fender one.
