I've used joinmyband successfully. Err and unsuccessfully. But if you take the rough with the smooth mostly a happy experience.

I appreciate this has been ‘dead’ for 4 years but what is the current opinion? CDs or no CDs…? We’re just about to release our second album and we do get asked for them at gigs. But whether that would turn into sales if we actually had them, whether we would remember to bring them (as others have commented 😂) or whether we’d ever get out money back is a constant conundrum! Thoughts pls?

Be careful, I did a walkabout at a wedding and some lady started hugging/dancing with me so the strings got muted - I had to stick my bum really far out to get a gap so I could play 😂

The TC head will be Class D amp and the Sound City ‘old school’. A different class that someone more knowledgeable than me can explain. Any ‘new’ (class D) amp will need to be several times the wattage of your SCs 120w to produce the same sort of power. There are lots of threads here explaining the ‘details’. For your particular problem I would have thought ‘more watts & turn down’ would be the way to go. But beware that you need to make sure bandmates don’t ’helpfully turn your rig up’ thus blowing a speaker.

I used to buy 10 sets of (guitar) string from Musicians Friend, sell 4 on eBay & I had 6 free sets. Not worth it now, even if you can get them to post here.

Aye, quite reliant on the other bass player standing behind ‘Paul Wellers’ amp. He didn’t play everything but you could see him picking up bits. Plus shaking a tambourine with the left hand and fretting with the right. Was all a bit sad. I can totally understand that Bruce has spent his life on stage so must be very hard to stop.

I'd say 5mm looking at it. Again, never been a problem. I think they sell them differently now. When I bought mine they all had Devon names. This is pretty much 'stock' but it's how I wanted it.

I use a 2.5" Leeden Tor Hiestercamp with two medium weight basses (both just under 4kg). I went for the suede lining so it doesn't slip on my shoulder. Never thought the bass wasn't comfortable or not 'where I wanted it'. Expensive, yes. Worth it. Double yes...

According to Russell at FTJ in Tunbridge Wells last night Bruce has decided not to give up and will play on a bit longer. I was surprised that Bruce did not tell us. But then Bruce only played half the gig and didn’t smile through the whole performance.
