  1. Very, very lovely, but I'd really love to know how you can do this insured? GLWTS - you won't need it!
  2. Wow. I only started playing a few years ago, but I'd never heard of one of these little things, let alone seen one. Is it just me and my ignorance or are these rarer than rocking horse Thames Water? GLWTS anyway.
  3. Those are the sort of dilemmas that keep me awake at night - or would, if I could afford either! GLWTS
  4. Martin sold me a fantastic little home-made 10" cab a couple of days ago. I haven't yet explored all its sonic capabilities, but I can say it's an incredible piece of lightweight kit with huge volume and which compares well with my Barefaced One10. Daisy-chained, they are almost too loud, but that allows for huge headroom. So impressed with the work that went into building it, the truly generous price and with meeting Martin for a great chat at Donington services to pick it up. I can sincerely recommend Martin to any other Basschatters planning to do business with him, and I wouldn't hesitate to do so again.
  5. Just come across this thread. What a wonderful ad for the friendship and collegiality that characterises the best of Basschat. Makes me proud to be a part of it.
  6. This is such a gorgeous bass. I have the HCT 500/1 version - the mid-range Contemporary Series - and even that is a wonderfully playable, resonant and authentic bass. But it won't hold a candle to this one. GLWTS, Ash! (not that you should need it!)
  7. Ha ha! And you're still Happy, Jack!
  8. This kit looks amazing, but may I ask you: what persuaded you to go the H & K route?
  9. Please post photos that have your username shown next to the bass. We are trying to help you (Apple translation). Hear, hear!
  10. Sadly, I don’t think Gregor - from his original post to the bundled-in boosting of his Fodera - quite understands the spirit of this forum. We’ve all tried to explain, but it’s not sinking in, unfortunately.
  11. It’s a lovely thing. GLWTS
  12. This is ridiculously cheap for a quality rig - I've just gone a different route in the past month, otherwise I'd be all over it at this price. You shouldn't need it, but GLWTS!
  13. Crikey, that’s lovely. Great work! GLWTS, someone’s going to get a real bargain.
  14. Do you make tort guards for sale, by any chance? Loving your work on this one. GLWTS, by the way!
  15. What a bargain! And if that's "noodling" on your video, I'm made of spaghetti! GLWTS - beautiful instrument.
  16. Ha ha! GLWTS. Lovely finish on the body.
  17. Not surprised it’s on its way already. Incredible attention to detail in your spec-ing up this bass - and a gorgeous result!
  18. Beautiful bass, lovely pix - thank you. GLWT… trade!
  19. These are very deceptive - and very loud - amps. Don''t think for a momentt that they are in any way... er... elfin.
  20. You’ll definitely need to post several pictures of the actual bass you’re trading, from several angles and including CUs of any marks or dings, before you’ll get any response on Basschat, plus details of strings, setup, pups, any mods and - before almost anything else - the weight, preferably with a picture of a digital readout if you have suitable scales. You can’t expect people to send you an instrument of the value you’ve specified on the basis of a generic screenshot from a retailer’s website. Have a look at other posts on here to get a feel for what’s needed, you’ll get a much better result if you do. Good luck with the trade!
