  1. It's speaking to you! 🤣
  2. Great little starter or practice combo, which has been connected up to test the circuit only: otherwise unused and in pristine condition. I can post this to the UK insured for £25 (I have the original box) or you are welcome to collect it from Mapperley in Nottingham (tea and biscuits available!). I'm also happy to meet up within an hour's drive from home. Full transparency: I also have this listed elsewhere, but for £275, so this is a special price for BCers. They are £349 from the major retailers. Not really interested in trades on this - I'm trying to downsize (and I could do with the cash!). MarkBass say: The CMB121 Black Line is an amazing entry level 150W combo, the perfect choice for those who want to start with the right sound and have enough power for both rehearsals and gigs. It delivers a sound superior to any other practice amp at this price, thanks to Markbass tone and quality. It features a headphone output, and an aux input for connecting your favourite media players to mix with your bass sound, letting you practice [sic] anywhere, anytime. These Black Line combos don't have the VLE and VPF filters you see on more expensive MB kit (no doubt to keep the price down), but I do have the Super Booster pedal which includes both (I took it in a trade recently with @Paddy777 of this parish). It's pictured, though not included in this sale, but I'm sure we could come to some arrangement on a price for a bundle of pedal and combo together! Hit me up if you're interested.
  3. Not something I’m keen to contemplate!
  4. 3.4Kg fiver - goodness gracious! GLWTS
  5. That finish is lush! GLWTS.
  6. Lovely! (and the Spector!) 🤣 GLWTS
  7. Thanks, I’ll do some digging, nothing wrong with a bit of comfort!
  8. Hi all. I'm selling my Terror Bass 500, latest version, as I have too many amps and I'm not gigging, so I need to make room for a small practice combo that's incoming. I've used this one for a few rehearsals and jams, but it's probably left the house fewer than half a dozen times in all. I think by now everyone knows what these do, and how well. They're very loud and also look very cool, as does the gigbag. They're also very adaptable, as you can use the gain to really drive the amp or you can switch to "clean" for a transparent, warm tone. Either way, you’ve got that lovely valve-driven pre-amp, with an ECC83 (12AX7) and an ECC81 (12AT7) – in fact it’s the same pre-amp as you get on the flagship AD200 (but you can lift this one!). In fact, while the weight may be a little more than an all-transistor head at 4.65 Kg (10.25lb), it’s no big deal and just feels “right” - nice and solid. I bought it new from the no-longer-with-us GAK for £549 in November 2023, so I think the price is fair, given age and excellent condition, as you can see from the photos. It comes with the very lovely gigbag and a kettle power lead, but I’ll throw in a Speakon cable if it goes at or very near the full price. I'm happy to include the cost of postage to the UK, but I'll knock £15 off if you prefer to collect (from Mapperley, in Nottingham). You can play through it, and tea and coffee are on tap. Otherwise, I’m up for a meet-up within an hour’s drive from Nottingham. Not looking for trades, I’m afraid. I need the cash, and I’ve got all the gear I need for the moment (though with my GAS, I’ll probably change my mind tomorrow!)
  9. Bit of a digression - sorry, Andy - but that strap looks interesting. What is it? GLWTS - lovely bass (with or without the strap)!
  10. Sorry to be pedantic, but did you mean 9 volt? GLWTS, by the way.
  11. Sorry, Jon, but it's normal to post photos if you want to sell stuff on here. At the very least, you should provide a link if the photos are stored on a third party site, like Imgur or Flickr.

  13. Knice knobs! Joking apart, itsa lovely-looking bass, and 7lb is not to be sniffed at. What’s the purpose of the (presumably) copper strip between the bridge and bridge pickup?
  14. Very handsome OLP MM5 five-string natural-finish passive Stingray-alike (some dispute online as to whether these were licensed by Ernie Ball Music Man or simply that the headstock shape was). It’s in pretty good nick (see pix for some very minor dings and wear, especially top of headstock) and definitely does the Ray thing, from clank to warm P-bassish. These were generally considereed at least as good as - if not better than - the first Sterling S.U.B. entry-level Stingrays that were around five years ago. I bought it a couple of years ago to experiment with fivers and, though I had none of the common issues with the transition from four to five strings, I’ve really had no need for the B, so it seems to be a bit wasted on my wall. I’ve got a Sterling Joe Dart Signature one-knob to scratch my passive Stingray itch anyway (and I’m really loving it!). If I feel the need to drop from low E, I’ll possibly add a Drop D tuner. String spacing at the bridge is a rather tight, but still very playable, 17mm. Nut width is 44mm. The neck finish is shiny - I suppose it’s gloss, but not at all sticky. Weight is a comfortable, but not lightweight, 4.5 Kg (9lb 14oz), there’s no neck dive and it’s fine on strap or lap. Currently wearing Ernie Ball Slinky roundss (the bass – not me!). I'm not really after trades, but I might be tempted by a good quality preamp/di pedal, eg MXR or a Sansamp; or even a Radial Tonebone, with any financial adjustments either way. I have a range of suitable boxes, so I'm happy to post at buyer's cost. I might have a gigbag somewhere to throw in. If you'd prefer to collect, I'm in Mapperley, Nottingham, or I'm happy to meet up within 50 miles of here.
  15. Get your Fearless Flyers on, with a guitar/bass support as used by Mark Lettieri, Cory Wong and Joe Dart. Or, if you a glass back, let this do the work for you - attaches to a mic stand at whatever angle you choose. Think of those long gigs and rehearsals! Comes with a rather tatty copy of fitting instructions. Otherwise in excellent nick. These are no longer made (someone's trying to flog one on Reverb for £250!). I will post at buyer's cost or collection from Mapperley, Nottingham.
