  1. None of the above. I think my first exposure to the bands I liked all came from copied cassettes from friends. I never listened to the radio or watched TOTP. Most of the music they played did nothing for me. I'd say early MTV was the closest to a broadcast I could relate to, specifically Headbangers ball and Aerosmith on heavy rotation.
  2. Same. I honestly couldn't see me ever being in a band with people I didn't already know. I've never auditioned for a band in my life and I can't imagine I ever would. I'm just not at that level professionally or personally where I want to be in a band for the sake of it. Every band I've ever been in (and there's only been 3) has been a bunch of mates hanging out and making a noise together. That's all I've ever wanted out of being in a band.
  3. Thanks. I was hoping they were gonna be in the EU so I could dodge the import fees.
  4. Google's Pete Way. I've never understood why an instrument is suddenly worth ten to twenty times it's actual value because it was once owned by someone famous. I mean, yeah if it's something truly iconic used by an equally iconic star, then it would have some collectability value for museums etc, but some of the prices for a shortly used instrument are insane. I suppose anyone can ask what they want for anything. Whether someone is willing to pay it is another matter entirely.
  5. It looks like a vibratortron 5000. Erm......... So I'm told. 😳
  6. Ah, that kind of lefty. I thought it was going to be another Morrissey diatribe.
  7. Great bit of kit these for that proper 80's rock / metal sound. I had one back in the day and sold it for peanuts when I realised I was never going to bea guitarist. You live and learn.
  8. A grand for a Squier? That's a bargain I can live without. 😆
  9. Yup. As above, it looks like a police siren on a pole to me, so I'm guessing it's part of the lighting for one or more of the songs.
  10. Why does crack converters seem to me like the perfect place to sell his "instruments"?
  11. Just had this pop up on my Facebook feed. The PJ Sunburst looks absolutely stonking in this picture. I generally don't particularly like sunburst, but because it's a wash over the grain rather than a glossy finish, I think it looks superb!
  12. Yeah. I've seen loads of them on eBay with broken headstocks. I'd say the quality control is somewhat lacking.
  13. Ah I see. Or rather i don't. I've never seen that, but I don't come to this section via the menus. I just follow the unread comments / threads. So it jumps directly to the posts.
  14. Yup. I'm waiting for HB to come up with an affordable multiscale six string. Don't think I'll be holding my breath though.
  15. I suppose technically I own 3 basses. A semi acoustic 4 string, an electric 4 string, and a six string. I haven't picked either of the other two up since buying the sixer 2 years ago. So I only have one bass I actually use.
  16. I wasn't describing anything played by anyone. The bass has very little to do with how any talented musician plays. Give any of those people a cheap Harley Benton and they'll still sound amazing. Only my opinion of the way P basses look
  17. It wasn't all a happy ending then. 😆
