1. She in my opinion wipes the floor with the more muscular bassists out there that can play and sing. Envy is a sin. She is a true musician. Wow.
2. Hi there. Fellow lefty here. I use to have a Mark VI head and 2x15" BW cab, very nice it was too. I now use an Ampeg SVT IIP into a QSC amp, then into a Tech Soundsystems 6x10 or Glockenklang 2x12, I sometimes use an Aguilar DB680 pre. Basses, 1980 Stingray, 2002 Status S2, 1998 Jap Jazz, 1995 Squier Precision and a KGB Status replica.
3.
I don't think he's a bad player, and he was great for the aggressive tunes of the St. Anger stuff (although the lines on the album are amazingly played too), but I just can't help thinking "Jason would be better in this situation".
He didn't play on St Anger.
4. Peavey Combo 300. Can be bought off ebay for £100-150. Amazing piece of gear.
5.
This She has such an amazing voice and when stripped down to just bass and keys it really shows what a great voice she has. She is pretty hot too which doesn't hurt.
Brilliant song and voice. And yes.
6.
Beautiful!
Why did you have to show me this?
7.
Impressive. Where do you keep all those basses? Do you live in a warehouse?
I lived for a short while in a whorehouse, does that count.
8. Good guy, friendly, helpful and a nice case bought. Hope to see more of this adopted Wirralonian.
9. Do you know what active circuit is installed in the bass? These are passive pickups and can work wired straight to the pots. Pics would be helpful. Steve.
10. http://www.emginc.com/content/wiringdiagra...HZ-35-40-45.pdf Here's the wiring diagram. I've wired a few EMGs into basses. What value pots does the bass have?
11. Pete, that is friggin' gorgeous, pity it's not a lefty, good luck.
12. One tort scratchplate for a left handed Precision. Ordered, made, delivered and fitted in the time it takes to do something that doesn't take vey long to do. Great price and good communication. Thanks Howard.
13.
one thing i would say is that you're probably putting more pressure on the neck if you have those extra strings so you might need to possibly beef up the neck which isn't an easy job but it is possible.
Hi EH how do you beef up a neck?
14.
I already err dangerously close to a mullet
Nah, that's an Owen Wilson mate.
15. Agreed. Ok then, if you grow your hair longer at the back, a la mullet, you will look just like Tony Franklin-Blue Murder. Jelly Roll anyone?
16. Fretless? punk rocker? What is the world coming to.
17. Sorry to hijack bassvid 75s thread but that scratch plate is a modern one, you can tell by the cut out by the neck for access to the Ernie Ball truss rod adjustment wheel. Also the brass nut on the fretted neck is not original, neither is the mix of necks and body, 3 different years do not make a 100% original instrument.
18. I saw The Royal Liverpool Phil playing with the Wayne Shorter Quartet last year. Lump in the throat? I was in tears, they were astounding. Support your local orchestra. My wifes mum and dad are singing there soon. http://www.liverpoolphil.com/2607/events-c...ic/requiem.html
19. Where is the bullet cap for the truss rod on the fretted neck?
20.
Hiscox bass case for sale, you know the kind of thing. Offers excellent protection for your bass. I just prefer to carry around a gig bag rather than a hard case and am moving house so need to clear space. £40. Would prefer collection from Birmingham or Wallasey, Merseyside but could meet if mutually convenient. Steve
Hi Steve, they can hold lefty basses, I can't remember. First didbs, I can pick it up also.
21. Calling BigJ
22. Please make this left handed and I will put the money in your account now.
