1. The Black Beauty concept transfers to the S2, seamlessly. That is superb.
2. WOT, you're dead right. Production is so articulate, totally sympathetic with all the tension, clean, really special. Sounds good through my card and Beyer headphones.
3. A quality tone, WOT. So much air and tasteful use of compression. It breathes and sings in such a nice way.
4. That's the one. I bought it from a local guy who in turn bought it from John. When my old singer said to me, "give us a hand putting this in the car" after I had put it outside the front door, I told him to lift it up himself. He laughed like a fool and said something like, "those Germans are nuts, how did they manage that?".
5. I use a Techsoundsystems 6x10. It weighs 66lbs. 5.3 ohms and handles 2,100 watts. Needs loads of juice to make it sing but when it is in its zone, there is nothing that any other single cab can do to touch it. The low end response is incredible. The mids are its strength and the top end has a very comprehensive tweeter that does the business. 6. Good call Andy. It never fussed me, as I have vol on full. I guess I should stop moaning and just enjoy the beauty that is a Status bass,
7. Yes, Andy, both Rob and Dawn are brilliant. I just excepted that it was the way the tone and volume were. I turn the volume up from nothing and a quarter turn later I have full volume. The eq is just different from what I'm use to, as I use John East eq's.
8. I think Status built them into their guitars in the early 2000's.
9. I have a lefty S2 Classic, beautifully built, great to play, and sexy. But, the eq is not to my liking and the volume goes from 0-100 in a quarter turn. Does mine have a problem?
10. Then you Sir, have avoided being a stereotypical ****. Stay you.
11. Haim were the best, apart from looking like a cross between Hanson and Hailey Cropper.
12. The Lumineers? Get lost, and get your dirge to a new smartphone add, you bellends.
13. Utter sh*te and a £14K bass, so what? Totally rubbish, a con from start to finish.

17. Add one of these, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/QSC-power-amplifier-Qsc-plx3602-Sounds-Like-Mc2-Lab-gruppen-Amplifier-/131063545347?pt=UK_MusicalInstr_Amplifiers_RL&hash=item1e83fefe03, to this, http://basschat.co.uk/topic/224698-aguilar-db680-all-tube-preamp-mint/. Stereo, bi amp able, heavier..yes but much more practical.
