First off, I love that headstock, really cool. Second, I bet it sounds great. Third, when I worked at KGB Music (Wirral custom guitar builder) we use to sell Fenix instruments. They were all amazing, I bought a Strat and it was a beauty. Mine had a copy headstock and body, ie, Fender rip-off. Yours is subtley different I imaginine to avoid the legal action. The graphics could be part of a range for different distributors? Really stumped on this. Still, it's a lovely bass.

I'm sure I've done one of these before but here goes. 1985, my stereo, blew the speakers. Not long after, Summer 1985, McGregor Bassman 200, into an HH 2X15BL. 1986, McGregor Bassman, into 2 1x15" ohm PA cabs. 1986, McGregor into a SVT 8X10" with replacment WEM speakers. 1986, Peavey Combo 300. (Amazing amp) Marshall Jubilee 300 head and 4x10" cab, sounded rubbish. Marshall Jubilee 300 head, into Peavey 1810. sounded rubbish. Peavey Mark VI, into a Peavey Black Widow 2x15" cab, sounded incredible!!! Ampeg SVT II, into my old SVT cab, with the WEM speakers. Played Reading and Finsbury Park with this, Superb! Ashdown C115, sh*te. Then added an Ashdown "Mini" 4x8", still sh*te. Bored now...will tell the rest of the journey after a cup of tea.

Classic piece of music. Was on my "Walkman" for about a year. Arhh, to be 15/16 again.

The only reason I have a Badass II on my Jap Jazz, is because the BBOT on it had action adjustment screws that use to unwind due to the vibrations of the strings, oh and because the saddles use to move around the base plate when playing and because the string spacing could be set spot on with a Badass and because the action can be set really low on a Badass with plenty of behind the saddle string break. Apart from that, no reason to change it.

Arggh! Missed this. Kev was a massive inspiration to me back when I first bought "Quirk Out" What an experience that was. I told my best friend at the time that I had just listened to "Bass from outer space played with grace". He agreed. Kev is still an inspiration, today.

People pay a small fortune for the best paper-in-oil caps. Black Gate caps are legendary in the hifi world. This is a wonderful diary.
