  1. A couple tonight with great Basslines to play , Leroy sibbles on studio 1 and this is deep and heavy
  2. Duckie Simpson wearing the band T shirt here, so it’s definitely not uncool
  3. Out of interest why is it uncool, I think I would
  4. I should add that I would wait a few days for it to settle if it’s come from abroad and been in the plane hold or a cold warehouse
  5. I don’t wait a month to set mine up, I do it almost immediately with my preferred strings which are labella flats ,and set up the bass to a nice low action
  6. That would look great if you could get the grill to match, I like the covering on the V4B
  7. I’ve had it many times, especially with some of Flabba Holt’s basslines, listen to the song and think it’s easy until you try it , most of the time it’s getting the feel and rhythm , shows how good some of these players really are
  8. Looks like it’s been sprayed black over Olympic white , maybe the body is original
  9. The neck could be genuine looking at the tuners and the plate dates it to 73
  10. Been learning this one the last few days, it’s Robbie Shakespeare off the album Uhuru in Dub, great Bassline
  11. I still chat with him now and again but haven’t heard from him in a little while, I’m sure he’s fine and just doing family things
  12. If you unfollow a thread you shouldn’t get any notifications unless you’re quoted for something
  13. A new one from Samsara collective, a pink Floyd tune, I’m really liking this from 3.37 where it goes dubwise , what do you think about it?
  14. Very nice indeed
  15. I like them both really ,but for the type of music you was playing the Sandberg has the edge for me, and nice playing
  16. Congratulations Hz, really nice
  17. They don’t really get many basses but it’s always worth just checking them out now and again
  18. It was a shop called Folkies music in Kilburn
  19. I suppose it depends on the provenance and if you’re a fan of the band or previous owner, about 2 years ago I tried to buy this one but it was about £1000 overpriced because it had been used in the studio by K.K Downing of Judas Priest, I hadn’t really heard of him myself but the shop would not come down and it sold eventually
  20. That’s expensive for a 78 imo
  21. If it was closer to me I would have gone and had a look, looks like it’s near Liverpool , might be a good buy for someone
  22. I’m mainly a jazz bass man but I’ve had quite a few precisions over the last couple of years and the necks vary so much, my 71 is 40mm nut and very slim front to back which is nothing like the reissues, shame they didn’t copy those, I’ve recently bought a AVRI 62 P which has the 44mm nut but it’s very slim front to back, you might like them Linus, I haven’t got a 57 but here is the spec for a US one , Body Material: Alder Body Details: Solid alder body Neck Material: Maple Fingerboard Material: Maple Neck Profile: Medium "C" Neck Thickness (IN): 1st- .81" 12th- .94" Fingerboard Radius: 7.25" Nut Width: 1-3/4" Scale Length: 34" Neck Details: Maple neck with unbound maple fingerboard Electronics: Original; Fender pickup, master volume, master tone Weight: 8lbs 14oz
  23. Yeah everything they list is massively overpriced, they are kinda known for it, worth a try I suppose 🤷‍♂️

Nice one, just had a quick flick through the tracks and they sound good, best of luck ☝️
  25. I’ve found myself having to play this one every now and again recently
