  1. I’ve only ever known 1/4 and 1/2 in shanks, if there is a different one I wouldn’t buy it because all brand cutters are that size 🙂
  2. A Friday Barrington levy tune , such a great Bassline right in the pocket And a classic from 1983 covered here nicely by Rooti
  3. Corrected ☝️
  4. I only used to buy Trend cutters
  5. But, are 'friends' electric? Mine's broke down..........plug her in then😁
  6. I used to make and fit staircases so I was routing and trenching for years, I’ve got many routers , but I have to say the new Makita cordless is very impressive, if you don’t already have the batteries and charger it would probably work out expensive , if you do I would recommend it 🙂
  7. Shank sizes are 1/4 and the bigger routers are 1/2 🙂
  8. Here you go si 🙂
  9. 😂 sorry about that, ill measure when I get back to the shop 👍
  10. A handy addition to the workbench is a bench stop , I use mine all the time especially if it’s to plane something that’s awkward to clamp, it adjusts up and is flat when not in use, could be another project si 😁
  11. Over the years I’ve probably tried most flats at one time or another and the fender flats were not for me, they were too stiff and seemed to lack warmth, if you like a stiffer string with brighter mids, they would be good.
  12. I’ve got those andy on another 2 jazzes, they are nice, they take a while to play in then the sound and feel just gets better and better
  13. That’s so cool chaypup, will they reschedule it
  14. I too am a labella LTF user, for many years I used deep talkin flats and then about a year ago I tried the LTF’s and liked the sound , tension and feel , I’ve now got 4 jazzes and 1 P bass with them .
  15. I’ve been a massive David Rodigan fan from a very early age, and he’s had some great shows over the years, if anyone is interested, if you get the BBC sounds app you can catch up on some of his shows
  16. That’s interesting, I don’t remember a tv program called reggae sunsplash, and I’ve been playing reggae since 1977, I but I’ve been to the reggae sunsplash festival 🙂
  17. I do like a book, briefly what sort of things does it cover , before I order one, thanks
  18. What great work Andy, that blows my idea out of the water 😁
  19. I’ll do some digging through my collection and see what I can find ☝️
  20. I’ve never done it , but looking at it from a carpentry angle, you would have to file the frets first , or remove them, and then slim the neck down with a spokeshave, I’d say it could be done but I think it would be quite a bit of work 🙂
  21. I remember that well ☝️, im pretty sure the original song was , I’m still in love with you boy, but I’m not sure who did the very original , here’s the marcia aitken version , and Alton Ellis version, it’s a great Bassline 🙂
  22. A friend of mine has one of those, it plays and sounds great but I just couldn’t get past the big badge on the front, I thought it spoilt it, and I was born in West Ham 😀
