  1. I know a few people that use the 4x10HLF for reggae and dub and it really does put out some serious low end, that’s with an ampeg head , I don’t know what it’s like with a different head.
  2. Quite a good cover I thought of pimpers paradise here by Arise Roots
  3. Yeah you’re right Dom , it was fairly wet when I bought it the planks had been stored in an open sided barn , it seemed like it was never gonna dry 🙂
  4. You might know something I don’t but 200mm will not season quickly, I had 40mm barn cladding planks in my shop for 9 months and when it came to machining it was still damp in the middle, I was quite surprised 🙂
  5. Hi si, I used to buy all my hardwood for my joinery shop from a company called Latham timber, and all their timber is cut with the bandsaw from lumber to oversized planks and then stored flat to season and then ready for machining , thicker the better really, like this
  6. I like the video to this early one by eek a mouse
  7. Without going back through the thread, whereabouts is it being held, cheers
  8. I’d like to leave a thank you and a sad response but it won’t let me, that was a great thing to do ubit, 👍, I too would play for free for charity.
  9. I have to agree, I got the full candy with my 62 , but a lot of the time it’s missing 🙂
  10. Not sure if I’ve posted these before but I’ve been listening to quite a bit of Arise Roots lately, they are a bit more upbeat but still have that reggae groove and nattali rize on this one is great
  11. I’m working on this great 1978 Gregory isaacs tune today, lots of subtle changes to the Bassline, the version at 3.07 comes in nice ☝️
  12. Hi jonski and welcome, the Yamaha session cake will do exactly what you want, and it runs on batteries, just plug your phone , bass and headphones in and play, I’ve got one for silent practice whilst just sitting on the sofa, it’s got a nice sound too 🙂
  13. That’s so good, the guy 2nd from right has some moves , and what’s going on with the bottom of their trousers 😁
  14. That’s good, I’ve got the 62 RI and the pots don’t click into positions , they sweep , so I have to remember where the sweet spots are
  15. Beautiful , and I’m a big fan of stack knobs, very nice
  16. That’s really nice, and a matching headstock 👍. Does it have a sparkle to the finish
  17. Silly question bob , is that with the tone off only it sounds like the bridge pup is on full and the tone is on full
  18. I still play lots of my early vinyl which is on studio 1 , Trojan records and greensleeves, they’ve got scratched over the years and sound crackly but it’s part of the fun for me 🙂
  19. I don’t enter any competitions for that very reason
  20. I haven’t got this far yet, but it’s sounding tricky, what have I let myself in for 😁
  21. Mellow morning with a bit of John Holt
  22. For any Alton Ellis fans, here’s part 2 🙂
