  1. Sweet tune here from Roland Burrell, don’t think we’ve had this one, I can’t track down who played bass on this
  2. Could be worse, could be a drummer (only kidding Douglas 😁)
  3. Pretty much identical road wear on it
  4. Looks legit to me,
  5. They fix with double sided tape, I originally had it on one of my jazzes and it came off with no damage, but I wouldn’t trust that to happen to one with a nitro finish
  6. Very true, and they don’t come up for sale very often either
  7. Yeah, that’s the one I’ve got 👍
  8. I’ve got a bassmute fitted on one of my precisions, they are great, easy and quick to click on, but they are expensive, I also use foam, and I’ve never used one but I’ve heard these are good
  9. Whiteish, my 2014 US jazz
  10. I’d be very interested in seeing how this is done 👍
  11. Great thread Andy, I’m a joiner and out of interest, is that normal build practice to use a scarf joint on a guitar neck/headstock
  12. What’s the extra string on the body for I wonder
  13. Superb tune PJ☝️, the intro of the Bassline in loafer always reminds me of this
  14. Barrington levy day today
  15. There’s some great contributions here and some great players, get your Goth thread going ☝️
  16. Lots of the early reggae and dub vinyl is really collectible now, and popular in the us
  17. Oh that’s cool, I didn’t know 👍, there’s some really great tracks here and somewhere, @Mykesbass has kindly put together a Spotify list , I’ll try and find it
  18. I’ve still got my vinyl going back to around 1977, it’s stored in my loft but I do bust it out now and again, I used to buy from , daddy kool record shop and red records in Brixton 🙂
  19. Just thought I’d share this early track by Max Romeo , posted in another thread by @ProfJames, old time classic
  20. This is my favourite max Romeo track, it’s from the , War ina Babylon album 1976, and the first one is with tiken Jah fakoly, with Robbie on bass, it’s a great one to play
  21. The racing stripe looks great with the pickup covers
  22. Great picture dov, what a cutie 😊
  23. Yeah it’s got a great feel to this one Dave , It’s not technically difficult but nailing those little fills is Tricky 🙂
  24. I’ve got a few days off for Easter so I’m going to work on this, I’ve got the basic Bassline together , but as usual Robbie Shakespeare adds little changes and fills throughout the song, I’m having a bit of trouble breaking a few of them down, so I’ll be working on them, I normally slow the track down and listen very closely for the notes, for example at 0.25 and 0.37, ( probably a separate question but is it the end of bar 4 or 7 he changes the fill if I’m counting that he varies it ?
  25. Welcome Ben 👍
