  1. Thanks for that, I did wonder what the difference was as I’ve got Junjo wins the World Cup 👍
  2. Thanks for that Cato, I never thought of that, some have a tube and some have a mouthpiece, which was yours 🙂
  3. Nothing for me 😁
  4. Really nice trio, one of those is my ideal bass 👍
  5. I’ve always liked the melodica, inspired really by Augustus Pablo but I’ve never got around to buying one, I’m watching a vintage one on eBay at the moment, I play a bit of piano so I’m hoping that will help although the melodica is in a different position, apart from that it’s only bass for me 🙂
  6. Great cab and a great price, GLWYS
  7. That’s lovely 👍
  8. Delroy witter , nice Bassline And a bit of Half pint
  9. Welcome 👍
  10. The only safe way I’d suggest is to fix a timber batten/plate using cavity toggles and maybe a dab of no nails too, then fit your hanger to that 🙂
  11. Lovely, and a jazz neck 👍
  12. Hi Soz welcome 👍 you could post your question here, more Yamaha aficionados will probably see it 🙂
  13. I remember Dood posted this a few years back, there’s a series of them covering different things
  14. Two very different tunes for a Friday, the first I’ve never heard before, nice riddim and the second one some of you might know , a great song from Pat Kelly
  15. Not really my normal listening but that’s really cool, nice groove ☝️
  16. Maybe the bass is inside a sofa 😁
  17. A good learning curve for me about how the bass went together was stripping a few to have the body re sprayed , I had to put them back together 🙂
  18. I used to pay for all my basses to be set up and the main requirement I asked for was for the action to be as low as possible, very few came back lower than 2.5 - 3mm , and I ended up doing it myself ,so I now do all my own setup’s with the exception of fretwork or work on the nut, which I’ve never had to do
  19. That’s what I said in 1982 when I bought my labella’s 😁
  20. I think with the rm all they could do is brush the dust off the fan and check that no wires are loose, that’s all Dave did to my older ABM, and he said it didn’t even need doing 🙂
  21. That’s impressive ☝️
  22. Really 😲, a friend of mine plays that, I can’t get anywhere near it , I get lost after about 20 seconds 😁
  23. I’m not a fast player and I’ve never really wanted to be, but a few years back I set about learning a few funk tunes , and I quickly realised that I couldn’t play them unless I learned to play faster, I worked on a few videos from talkingbass, about speed and stamina, and within a few weeks of a couple of hours each night I definitely improved, speed exercises are a good thing to add to your practice routine .
  24. I’ve never had a Ray, but if I was looking for one that would probably be it, perfect colour and birds eye maple, lovely
