  1. 6 hours ago, Pestie said: I agree. I’ve got three of these all 89 and they’re all great 👍 All of them plywood?
  2. Are both pickups working or just the neck P?
  3. I reckon that's a 57 rather than a 62 reissue (based on the raised pickup poles & maple neck).
  4. 2019 Mexican Mustang PJ Great bass but surplus to requirements. Body is clean with no nasty dings. 2 dings on the neck, one at back on upper side but has never bothered me (I know everyone says that), other is a chunky chip off the tip of the headstock. New Black status flatwound strings. Now, I'm not sure if there's a slight issue with the electrics as the tone control seems to affect the volume a bit more than I would expect. If you're a player that doesn't adjust the knobs much then it won't bother you. All the sounds are there and everything is quiet but I'm just not sure it's exactly as it should be. This is the reason for the price being a bit lower than they normally seem to sell for. Collection only from Bristol I'm afraid as I have no case or any packaging etc..
  5. What size / type of pickups are under the covers?
  6. Very tempted. Anyone have any idea on import tax / duty from EU based on recent experience?
  7. Yes. In my opinion they're all superb. Have 2 Precisions also. One earlier than this and one later and I honestly don't think the specific date of one JV puts it above any other for quality.
  8. If anyone is interested in this (or indeed the Stingray I also have on here) I would be prepared to travel a fair distance to meet and handover. I've been waiting for travel restrictions to ease before suggesting this.
  9. Tbh I didn't really expect to sell either bass before restrictions are eased.
  10. Yeah, I was looking for a quick answer online as I'm at work. Will take the neck off at the weekend. Although my early JV Precision has no pencil date just the EX export stamp. Cheers.
  11. No serial number checking site that I have looked at is any more specific than 82 - 84.
  12. I know they're all 82 to 84 and have never delved further than that. I will investigate.
  13. I also inherited this one from my late Father a few years ago. Again, being realistic about the lack of use it gets these days it seems right to move it on. Genuine original bass in excellent condition. There are a few light, tiny surface scratches around the body but only 2 dings as such. One tiny one on back of headstock and one small chip to bottom edge of body (both pictured). Strung with flats. Comes in a genuine vintage 1967 - 71 Fender case. This does have a good few scuffs but is totally serviceable, looks the business and is worth a few quid on its own. Also included is what I assume to be the original hang tag. What else is there to say? We all know how great these basses are and there aren't a great many around in this condition. Collection only from Bristol, I won't post it. When travel is allowed again I would be prepared to drive to meet up / handover. Not interested in any trades.
