2. Great looking bass at a very good price so I'm not surprised this has gone already!!
 3. Nice looking bass Al! Just to say to anyone interested, apart from being a really fine bass player, Al's a great guy to deal with and completely upfront..so you can so deal with him in complete confidence... Good luck with the sale!
 4. Gorgeous!! I had a 1984 Tokai that was lovely so can appreciate these from that point of view..
 5. A friend of mine bought a Peavey 210 TVX from Steve tonight for her daughter, so i just thought I'd leave some feedback for Steve on their behalf as they're not Basschat members. The cab sounded great being driven by a Peavey Max 700 head (that is for sale on here at the moment) and a '78 P Bass (which I assume is not for sale ever) and as well as that, the cab was in virtually showroom condition!! Steve's a very easy person to deal with and his gear is really well looked after, so you can deal with him with absolute confidence I'd say! Thanks Steve and good luck with shifting the rest of the rig...
 6. Heard this head in action tonight and as well as the fact that it sounded really good with a '78 P bass..going into a Peavey 210 TVX (which my friend bought)...it is in virtually showroom condition!! What's more, Steve is a very easy person to deal with and his gear is really well looked after. So if you want what the Yanks call 'Bang for your Buck' then this has got to worth investigating!
 7.
Checked the Speaker and there isn't any info at all as to Impedance and Power Rating. Have contacted Carlsbro Support for the answer and will post as soon as I know. Guy i spoke to is pretty sure it is a 150W 8 Ohm Carlsbro Powertone speaker which he is sure are made for Carlsbro by Celestion. he has gone off to confirm.
Ok, thanks!
 8.
It is a Carlsbro Bass Bomber. Dimensions (HxWxD)mm: 650 x 540 x 345 Will have to remove the speaker to check, but I believe it is a Carlsbro Powertone 150W. Not sure of impedance, will have a butcher's tommorow.
Thanks! A friend is looking for a seperate cab to run with a 210 so this might be ideal..
 9. What are the spec on this; cab size, power rating, resistance etc?
 10.
Thanks Nik, one for the Eagle cognoscenti. Hope you were rockin' yours last night! Greg
Certainly was Greg!! First gig for a few months and it sounded great! You still using this one?
 11. Bump for a real bargain! Can't believe this hasn't been sold yet, especially at this price...

 13.
Did I mention the "Sell-On Fee"?
I forgot you work in finance....!!
 14.
Last chance before the 1516 comes off sale, for a while at least (come on Nik, just a few miles up the road mate ) Chris
You're were not helping my GAS at all Chris! Glad to see it's withdrawn from sale at the moment...
 15.
Vintage vibrations ).
+1 That's a great 'vintage' sound on the last of the soundclips..
 16.
You've got a nice pair, Nik. Where DID you get those lovely RBV's?
..You & the Beedster really should consider opening some kind of retail outlet or a franchise you know Jack..
 17.
I have two Fender Roscoe Beck V strings; both teal green and both acquired courtesy of Happy Jack. Must take a picture of them at our mini-bash tomorrow..

 19.
That's a really nice collection of gear there !!! including that little beauty of a mk iv amp Nik !! T
Cheers.. You've reminded me that I must upload some more photos!!
 20.
Sandberg PM5. There are also some sound clips at DWband.co.uk. Not the best as its DI (from a GK head post eq) taken from the desk. Also the mid and top are boosted quite a bit to cut through the wall of guitar, keys and brass in that band - still it will give you an idea. John
Nice sound and really nice playing btw!!
 21. Hi Folks, As the title suggests, what a great way to spend the afternoon! Last Saturday, WalMan, jhk, johnnylager & myself held a mini-bash, arranged on the basis that, as johnnylager had just bought GreeneKing's ultimate Pimp Bass (the lovely white Spector 5), we all wanted to see & hear it in action!! Actually, I think it was more about the fact that it had been ages since the last SE Bass Bash and we were all getting a bit bored! Anyway, whatever the reason, it was a great excuse to get the toys out and make a noise! Here's a few photos: Mr Lager's most excellent Pimp Bass & rig.. jhk's tiny Eden rig! (not for the faint-hearted) WalMan's suprisingly powerful Markbass/Epifani rig & basses.. Silverfoxnik's basses, Eden rig (plus old Peavey MK IV head + SWR Triad + jhk's poweramp experiment ) There's some more photos to come which I'll put up later, plus hopefully (if I can work it out), some video footage too.. Cheers Nik
 22.
Chris, have you ever considered opening a musical equipment business of some kind?

Mmmmm .... Clackett Lane. Very tempting. Chris, have you ever considered opening a musical equipment business of some kind?
+1 Still very tempting.. Clackett Lane has never been the same since it became one of Basschat's outreach trading posts!
 23. Hi Chris, Hope all's well with you? GAS keeps getting the better of me and I keep looking at that Mesa cab you're selling, trying to find ways to justify having one... Sadly, I do too many small pub gigs for something so OTT, but it would be great fun! For someone who's gigging a lot and has transport and roadies though, surely it must be the ultimate full-range cab? Good luck with it! Nik
 24. This is a bargain to be honest.. Al brought it along to our south coast mini-Bash last week and it was really nice! Good fretless sound, comfortable to play and sounded very 'Pino' through the Boss analog FX unit that was there. Excellent way to give fretless a try I would say..
 25.
The minute I sold this bass I regreted it. As I am sure silverfoxnik will confirm, it really is a beaut of a bass. Shame I dont have the funds to reacquire it.
+1 My sentiments exactly...
