1. Thanks guys! Any other suggestions near to the south coast at all..? I should have said in my OP that this person lives in Brighton..
 2. SORTED THANKS Hi Folks First time I've ever ventured into this Forum, so please be gentle with me! A friend of mine who's an electric bass player asked me if I knew anywhere he could hire or borrow a double-bass for one gig in September. I said that I had no idea but that i'd ask on Basschat to see what the score is.. To be honest, quite how he's going to play it, even if he can find one, is another story entirely....but in the meantime, if anyone here has any info/advice I can pass on to him I'd be very grateful! Many thanks Nik
 3. Don't know about their power amps, but in the mid 80s, Dynacord bass rigs were very highly rated IIRC... German made I think..
 4.
Good Man! If anything, get another 2x12 lol
5. Great basses these, and I'm saying that though i'm not a Warwick fan particularly.. Luke Ward had a blue one that i played at the SE Bass Bash a few years ago and it was brilliant..very funky, very growly..quite un-put-down-able (if there's such a word) Good luck with the sale!
 6.
Great collection, although you may want to seek advice re the VOX; I suspect its worth more than the £80 you are asking. (70/80's Jap crap) good luck andy
+1
 7. Amazing looking bass; never seen one of those before! Good luck with the sale...
 8.
No recommendations for ACME? My two LOW-B2s move quite a bit of air with sufficient power - and let's face it, with Peavey IPR 1600 costing £350 now is the golden age of low sensitivity, high fidelity designs - and the hifiness is absolutely there. Not Genelec studio monitor (which I also had, and A/B'ed) precise, perhaps, but then, is the rest of your signal chain up to being reproduced by Genelecs? There are other similar designs, ACME was what was available when I bought my big rig. Caveat: some amps will sound like mud through ACMEs.
I think Alex Claber used to own a couple of their 210's IIRC...he always rated them very highly!
 9.
Might have to make the treck across two counties as the members were one of my fav bands at the time And for £3.00 you can't really go wrong
Cool! Hope all's well with you by the way??
 10.
Hey Nik, alls good thanks hope youre well Sure am playing the fender, all over Europe! Never gonna let that ting go... theres some pics and stuff on my bands website www.weareshoshin.com and a vid on the front page of www.youtube.com/weareshoshin Yeah there sure are a lot of options, what I really need is for something to shine through, like, um, I dunno, a Dave Eden Metro with extension cab or something ha ha!
Hi Al, I'm okay thanks.. Great video clips and pictures - you look like you're reaching a l lot of people with the music!! Bass is looking good too... I thought you'd been down the Eden Metro route before?? Having said that, I do know of one that might be available soon if you're looking for one. I would have thought that a Mesa Walkabout combo might be good for what you're doing with all the guerilla gigs.. Anyway, email me when you're on a day off. if you want any more info. In the meantime, good luck with the gigs and everything else! Nik
 11.
Another loooooooooooooooong weekend setting up, not doing this year , then taking it all back down again. Mind I have other things happening with work Friday evening that could stick a spoke in the plans. Here's hoping the weather picks up. 'Twas a laff last year. You can probably just about watch it set up, happen & break down from the webcam HERE
Thanks for the webcam link Al; didn't know that was there to be honest! I'll be there during the day Saturday but I'm gigging myself somewhere else that night, so will miss the evening bands Should be a good day though!

 13.
Have a Saturday morning bump on me. A very fair price, IMO. Not the best of nick, but rare finish and rare RW neck, with an original case. Bit of TLC will have this ol' fella tidied up a bit and thumping away for another 30 years! Cheers.
+1
 14.
Thought you'd like that mate C PS just realised I didn't follow through on sponsoring you on your epic journey, is it still do-able?
Hi Chris, I did! And yes it is possible still ; just go here: http://www.enablemeproject.org.uk/southsdownspush.htm and click on the Just Giving link/button. It was an amazing trek I have to say..have just about hit the £5k mark now... Hope all's well with you and many thanks for the offer of a donation.. Nik (and to think you found that Hughes & Kettner 410 cab I sold you heavy... )

 16. Very nice! I have two of these basses and they are just fantastic! Got to say that this is a great looking example of an RBV at a very good price too, so I'll be surprised if it hangs around long. Good luck with the sale..
 17. Have to agree with the previous posts! Great sounding gear as cheap as chips! But maybe not suitable for all people depending on the styl of music they play, the transport optiions they have etc, etc..
 18.
what about an SWR Triad, 15 - 10 and tweeter coming in at 8o lbs or an Accugroove El Whappo 15 - 12 and 2 tweeters comining in at 40kg, I haven't played either so can't comment on the sound
I'd give the Triad a try Chris; it's about half the weight of the Mesa..I still have mine and I love it!
 19. BUMP for a great piece of kit! I've got one, and it's so useful it's untrue...Good luck with the sale
 20. Despite the photos, that's a nice looking bass at a good price too! I had one similar to this but with a rosewood neck and it was a cracking bass... Good luck with the sale!
 21.
That CAR Precision is a blinder, great price too! Si
+ 1 Good luck with the sales...
 22.
Will post photos asap, touring Europe atm and dont have another gig where I§m using mine until the 13th August... Greetingy from Prague where the computer kezboards are all a little bit +ěřž§ů´ˇ
Hey Al! Hope the tour's going well - you still playing that lovely Fender Jazz 5? Seems like you have a lot of possibilities on the 'more rock n roll' rig front to consider; that's what Buddhists call the mire of options... Good luck with it! Nik
 23. That looks very cool to me!
 24. Lovely basses, the original TRBs! Very nice collection...
