  1. Do you mean foulds?
  2. With the neck length, can you really rely on the truss only? If i were you i would stick some CF rods in it for some support.
  3. Do your own designs, its not terribly difficult. How do you plan on cutting and shaping the body?
  4. I'm 14 also and started building about a year ago. If you need any help with anything just contact me. Im based near derby and have some degree of a workshop and experience in building. Feel free to visit if you need anything routed or whatever.
  5. No problem. Its nothing complicated, hot air rises.
  6. On the next coat, use a heatgun (or hairdryer) to remove the bubbles before it drys. This should work and help for a professional finish. Wet/dry sand paper from 600-1500 works well with alot of finishes but use it in steps, E.G;600,800,1000,1200,1500.
  7. Good to know.
  8. Are you attending the bass bash on the 5th?
  9. I couldve picked it up for you
  10. Especially the wing bass, but of course you wouldn't know.
  11. I’m pretty sure basswood
  12. I'm happy to help with stuff. I'm inbetween Stoke and Derby
  13. But that does look like a beautiful neck joint
  14. I recognize that body shape
  15. Ok, this is only a prototype and a 23” with this body shape will be very much possible, are you at the midlands bass bash?
  16. I’ve got the tuners in and the bridge in my possession. I glued on a bit of maple because the headstock was a little thin.
  17. For a midget bass?
  18. The postage time on it was about 6 days, not bad considering it’s location. They are not always perfectly straight so they do have to be planed before joining. But they are a great price.
  19. Cheers, thanks for the support
  20. I’m near Uttoxeter, stoke/derby/burton way
  21. Why thank you. The fretboard should be arriving tomorrow so I’ll glue it then and I’ll install the tuners and then finish the neck, with Liberon finishing oil, and fret it when I can afford frets and fretpress
  22. UPDATE: The neck is shaped and awaiting slotted fretboard (I know I shouldve glied the f/b before but i got bored). The neck isn’t also mounted, tuner holes drilled and body shaped
  23. Ha, that’s actually quite amazing. ive nicknamed the bass the cyclops because of the single pickup but I’ll have to call it sirdidymus now.
  24. Ohh, I think 23” is more sensible as 20” won’t really suit EADG yet something more like GCFB
