  1. Yeah, that’s actually what I do on weekends. To get tolex off, heat a bit and rip off all you can. Use a Stanley blade and lighter fluid to scrap glue off and then we use vinyl paint.

  15. With the neck length, can you really rely on the truss only? If i were you i would stick some CF rods in it for some support.
  16. Do your own designs, its not terribly difficult. How do you plan on cutting and shaping the body?
  17. I'm 14 also and started building about a year ago. If you need any help with anything just contact me. Im based near derby and have some degree of a workshop and experience in building. Feel free to visit if you need anything routed or whatever.
  18. No problem. Its nothing complicated, hot air rises.
  19. On the next coat, use a heatgun (or hairdryer) to remove the bubbles before it drys. This should work and help for a professional finish. Wet/dry sand paper from 600-1500 works well with alot of finishes but use it in steps, E.G;600,800,1000,1200,1500.
