  1. Looks great, slightly elrickish
  2. Does the brass have a final effect or sustain?
  3. Can i bring up the no truss subject. What are all your thoughts on this as consumers?
  4. The markings for the string ferrules should be 19mm apart
  5. Just wondering if the basschat team have thought about selling t-shirts and such. I would love to purchase any basschat related clothing and i'm sure may other users would too. It may also be another source of income to help the the podcast idea.
  6. If you’re ever around derby-stoke, I can give you a hand
  7. I’ll be happy writing or saying some stuff on composites or shorties
  8. I’ve decided to finally do some pwoper vacuum bagged carbon fiber lovelyness. This is a 25” midget that I’ve started to build. I intend on using a though neck wrapped in carbon fiber and vacuum bagged. The fretboard will be glued after the carbon fiber and will finish after the 24th fret rather than my original ideas of it going through.
  9. I currently play a 4 string dingwall combustion. I would say dingwall isnt the best route as they focus on longer scales for lower strings. If you’re interested, I’m making some 23.5”-22” scale basses that can be fivers with top C’s
  10. Would we consider getting it up on a popular social media account, such a bassporn on instagram, for more publicity for tech users?
  11. If you’re happy with the sound, it’s fine as long you don’t pump it through
  12. As a representative of yoofs, I’m really interested in this and will be a keen listener if it goes ahead.
  13. Could you get sponsors for it? Such as the ones like elixir and bassics who do for the site.
  14. I have a dingwall and they come with banjo frets stock. They’re really low and give you nice smooth glisses
  15. That method is a great idea, does anywhere sell radius blocks with such small radius as that on an upright
  16. Fair point, and I’m not that great
  17. I’m not amazing at making basses but I’ve recently done a build using a fancy top (I bought the neck) and it isn’t the kind of thing that I would sell for over 1000.
  18. It was great. Hope to see you there next year. What band are you in?
  19. I think the best solution will be using epoxy, because the fretboard is ebony you should be able to sand it to the same matteness of it.
  20. I’ve bought from them before, it was posted quick and a nice top. Be ready for some planing though, this is not ready to glue
  21. Still got the Sunday to go
