1.
Bit to the North, but Siggery guitars in Crowborough, up the A26 from Newhaven, are good.
Thanks, I'll have a look and get in touch with them.
 2.
come to a bass bash and try out as many cabs as possible, and see for yourself
If I could I would but, unfortunately I work a lot of weekends and since I have been on Basschat I haven't been able to attend any of them
 3. Not sure the post title is right but I didn't know what to call it Anyway, I might be changing my rig soon and I wanted to ask about the new lightweight cabs that have now become so popular. I'm not referring to any particular brand, I just want some info/feedback to make sure I'm making and inform and right decision. I have read how powerful and how good sounding some of these cabs are but, as I have no previous experience with any of these new lighweight cabs I rather ask before pulling the trigger. I'm used to big powerful cabs, Bergantino NV610 and NV412 that give plenty of volume and an amazing tone. Can these new cabs, usually 2x12 and 2x15, really compete in volume with the likes of the mentioned Bergantinos? I hope I'm not opening a can of worms here, it is not my intention, I'm just after some advice, these cabs cost a lot of money.
 4. Have you had a chance to try the Basstard properly? What do you think of the pedal? I'm about to buy one too!
 5.
Are you interested in Sadowsky DI preamp?
Not really, thanks anyway.
 6. I would also be interested in buying one
 7. Up for sale it's my mint Darkglass B7K, US version with all the improvements over the Finnish, which I bought less than two months ago. It hasn't been used much and only one gig but a change in circumstances forces me to sell it. You all know what you get with Darkglass and the B7K is a great bit of kit. 10. In my opinion the DB750 pairs really well with the Bergantino NV series cabs. I used to have a NV610 and it was a match made in heaven, the weight of notes of the DB750 with the mid punch of the NV610 made for an amazing tone! I sold this 610 and bought a DB410, nice tone but nowhere near the tone I was getting with the NV610, I didn't like the voicing of the DB cab at all and it was a very heavy, heavy cab! Now I'm back with Bergantino, this time a NV412, and I don't think it can't get any better than this, nice mid punch but with more bottom end and bit more top than the NV610.
 11.
I not going to make any jokes about G-Strings....
13. I asked this on the recommended luthiers thread but no replies so far so I'll try starting a new thread My '66 Fender Jazz bass could do with a fret-dress. I'm in the Brighton area, any suggestions who best to take it to? 14.
Very nice, shame its not a 4
...you can always take one string off
 15.
For me it's the Aguilar every day. Fafner is big and powerful but doesn't have the 'musicality' of the Aggie. Deep, rich, warm and full of natural tone that I think the EBS struggles to replicate. Notes just seem to bloom and fill out as you're playing. The joy of the Aggie is that you just turn it on, plug in your bass and play. Maybe just minor tweaking but no need to spend hours fiddling with controls
I have onwed both amps I completely agree with what Molan has said! For me it's also the DB750 without a doubt.
 16. I've just bought an Eventide Modfactor from Ian and the deal couldn't have been any easier: quick reply to PMs, pedal it excellent condition, packed really well and delivered next day. Thanks Ian!
 17. My '66 Fender Jazz bass could do with a fret-dress. I'm in the Brighton area, any suggestions who best to take it to? (I know Bernie Goodfellow but not for me this time) Any feedback on Graham Wheeler in Worthing? Any other good luthiers in the area, please?

 19. Great work Miki! I have to say my '66 Jazz Bass sounds a bit better than the '65 on your recordings, specially when slapping, it has more ring to it, closer to your '77...could be down to the strings being to old maybe?
 20.
Sale only?
Yes please, unless it's a part exchange with a 70's Fender Jazz bass.
 21.
As another Jabba user, I can testify to the top quality of the finish, playability and sound. Great for session work as they record like a dream, even DI-ed. £900 is a great deal for a 5.
Spot on...not many people realise how good instruments Mayones basses are!
 22.
If only mate if only, I have three Rays that have come about for all sorts of reasons but the Jabba Classic is top of my list if any of the Rays end up sold on, of course by then there will either be none for sale or they will have shot up in price, seriously cool bass for a cool price IMO, come on someone get it snapped up so I dont have to have 'the discussion' with my wife again!
...I highly recommend Mayones basses, I have played 3 different ones and I do seriously believe they are great instruments fora very reasonable price, in fact very cheap whne you compare them to other brands out there!
Love it! If I didn't already have a jazz bass I'd be all over that (well, if there was a bit more cash in the coffers)
Glad you like it...again, if you have a chance, get your hands on a Mayones, you won't be disappointed.
I have a Jabba 5 Custom like this, they are awesome, you won't get a better Jazz custom even if you paid over £1500. The build quality is incredible
I could'nt agree with you more, they are fantastic instruments, shame I have to let this one go.
