  1. I think you mean want I have found maple boarded basses from Fender and MM tend to be much chunkier than their rosewood (or whatever) counterparts. However, my recently acquired Squier, maple board, P is very comfy.
  2. Go Custom Shop ‘51 as suggested by @snorkie635.
  3. What do mean OT? We’re all about pizza now. Looks like hot dogs and sausage on a pizza is a classic, albeit normally sliced.
  4. Bit of carbohydrate overkill going on there. Bread or pasta, not both. I imagine it would be the oddest eating experience too. Pass.
  5. This is a problem the many of us are subject too I feel.
  6. To be honest, I’m a bit sniffy about chicken on a pizza too. I’ve only ever had one that was acceptable and that was because it was very heavily spiced and barely recognisable as chicken.
  7. Now, that’s eminently sensible.
  8. Quite right. The only fish that is permissible on a pizza is anchovy.
  9. Lovely bass, lovely story and, plainly, YJ is a lovely bloke. Glad it all panned out for you.
  10. TBF, she is very wee and even makes that shorty ‘Ray look big.
  11. Oops! Typo! I originally put gb when I meant megabytes
  12. I’ve tried posting it in a different post, I’ve tried it using my phone, I’ve tried a different browser, same result .
  13. Straight from my Mac. The file loads and shows as the original size, but once I hit post, it reduces in size. It’s for the photo comp, everyone else’s seem fine and they’re (for the most part) attaching directly.
  14. A mindset proliferated by the upper classes to keep the riff raff where they want them - down. Or by inverse snobs.
  15. Why are my uploaded images being reduced in size, once posted? I uploaded a 5.8MB image but, when posted, it has been reduced to 1.6MB. I have plenty of space in my attachment allocation.
  16. Yikes! Fun and games in the Travis household tomorrow That was quick. Sounds all very manageable and right in my ball park, which is not good.
  17. What are the vital statistics for this beauty: weight & nut width?
  18. Yep, definitely P bass territory. I reckon that will garner a lot of interest* when used at a gig. *From bass nerds, of which I am proud to be one.
  19. Fair play to you, neep. I wasn't commenting on your response. There have been a lot of provocative posts, by a number of folk, in various threads recently, that seem to have been squarely aimed at winding others up. I even believe that there's a technical, internet term for those kinds of comments, something to do with living under bridges, or suchlike.
  20. Plenty of money left over to get it really nicely set up and playing great.
  21. I can definitely see me watching it again.
  22. I've literally just come from watching this, what a great video, so warm and friendly. I think my favourite line was, "Are you swinging with the band or playing the ink?" or words to that effect. So much you can take away from that video and use in your own approach to playing. An absolute highlight for @devinebass's and Ian's (is he a member here too?) YT content.
  23. This has been the BC vibe on quite a few threads lately, which is sad.
