  1. Ah, I did wonder, they don't have the greatest reputation in this respect. Whoever produced that, nailed it.
  2. It's good to know that that was made available.
  3. That is absolutely gorgeous! 😍 I assume another headstock logo was sourced, if not, how the f*** was that achieved. You must be properly made up and rightly so.
  4. Exactly how he comes over in the flesh. And the things and times he’s seen. If he had a biography, it’d make fabulous reading if his stories are anything to go by.
  5. Or the pick. Bobby is the pure essence of funk, no matter how he achieves his music, it is just so funky. The way he moves around, even seated, is testament to this. Love that guy. He was tremendous at the LBGS a few years back, I started using a pick far more from that day onward.
  6. You're correct about the EMGs. It's surprising about them, because you'd think they'd be harsh and clinical and not at all vintage sounding (whatever that means) but here is Bobby, along with Guy Pratt and Dave Gilmour, proving that that is not the case. Love this...
  7. Song Remains The Same - Led Zep
  8. Modern Music - Be Bop Deluxe

  10. Surfin' USA - The Beach Boys
  11. Physical Graffiti is my favourite LZ album and one of my fave albums of all time, I don't think there's a duff track on it. Technically, a recording session compilation album (includes tracks from LZ4 & HotH) but none the worse for that. Recently, I've come to appreciate Houses... much more, so much quality on there, but much overlooked (maybe just by me) because of its placement between 4 & Graffiti. Too much focus on 4 has taken the shine off of it for me these days, but it was the album that finally got me into LZ after years of ignoring them (I was young and a Purple fan).
  12. The Rover Over The Hills & Far Away The Rain Song Achilles Last Stand What Is & What Should Never Be Trampled Underfoot Celebration Day Night Flight Ramble On Fool In The Rain Any order you like.

  17. Potential for increased £s come selling time? I've owned an ex-celeb bass. However, I didn't know this until I'd already bought it and asked if there was any history to it, just before I departed with my purchase (Bruce Thomas if you were wondering).
  18. Secret Agent - Rory Gallagher
  19. P, tone wide open, played with a pick is a sound heard on many a popular ditty. Not all Ps, or P types for that matter, sound the same though. My first bass was a BB300 (reversed P) and I had a full fat, new Fender P some years later. However, it wasn’t until I bought my old ‘63 P that the tone I heard Chuck Rainey employing on those Steely Dan albums or Bruce Foxton’s ‘Malice’ sound was heard and experienced up close and personal, proper wide grin moments. Interestingly enough, the ‘63 having been moved on some years ago, my JMJ Mustang achieves that very same tone.
