  1. After falling from Grace earlier on in the year, I doubled down just recently with an, ahem, acoustic guitar (looks out of window for angry mob with sharp, farm implements and burning torches).
  2. Red Guitar - David Sylvian
  3. That is very nice looking, gert lush, as they say in certain parts; it looks even better than shops' website photos.
  4. The singer in my old band was guilty of this. She knew the words, but wanted a little reminder, cue a video of her glued to the tablet. It's like a TV in a bar or pub, you can't not look at it.
  5. Smoke! Smoke! Smoke! (That Cigarette) - Tex Williams
  6. Very overlooked when folk talk of great guitar players. He has a very unique style of playing.
  7. They have that Blast Cult vibe to them.
  8. Two different bands really, just the same name. The Future Games line up was a very different sounding band too. F Mac are a band that has truly evolved but, seemingly (I’m probably way off base here, however), nothing to do with the original 2 members still remaining.
  9. Annie, I’m Not Your Daddy - Kid Creole & Co
  10. Buy it now.
  11. I've answered my own question, yes it is a Streamliner (the 'F' holes give it away). I had a red one with a Bigsby and the Dynasonics replaced with Filtertrons. When I say me, I mean some bloke I knew, who played guitar.
  12. First - BURN THE WITCH! Second - Is that a Streamliner (the design not the budget Gretsch series)? Not that I, ahem, know about these things, or that I, ahem, used to own one (checks outside for angry mob, wielding flaming torches and sharp, farming implements).
  13. Ooh, frosty!
  14. That is a great thing to hear.
  15. Stop Draggin' My Heart Around - Stevie Nicks
  16. Up In A Puff Of Smoke - Polly Brown
  17. Consonant Craving - k d lang
  18. Ooh, that'd be a cool gig. Shame it's so far away (500 miles) as I'd love to play Mr Lodge's lines (John Lodge and Justin Hayward playing the RAH was the first ever proper gig that I went to). Good luck with the search.
  19. Lark’s Tongues In Aspic - King Crimson
  20. I played (no pun intended) one of these yesterday, albeit with a maple neck and board, and was mightily impressed. If I was in the market for a P (I’m not, I’m not, I’m not! 😬) I wouldn’t hesitate to get one of these.
  21. I’ll second that.
  22. I liked the John Myung signature when I played one at a guitar/bass show.
  23. Flying In The Reel - Lone Star
  24. I played one of these years ago and, as you say, it's a bass sound, yet somewhat devoid of character. I did not find it inspiring and was rather disappointed.
